On Monday it was announced that the Dept of Homeland Security is forcing the IRS to give them access to all of the ITIN numbers of taxpayers so that they can track them down and deport them.

So much for just criminals and gang members. The head of the IRS quit in protest.

Potus is all ready thinking of letting them back in no one to work in the fields, hotels and restaurants. Next it will be the trades work we got hooked on cheap labor and Americans are not up for the work in a lot of jobs.

I do agree some people are looking for cheap labor.

So, how did businesses get any work done before the invasion? Dry up the freebies and people will have to work or starve....not many folks starve themselves on purpose......

Immigrants have been coming since the 1800s read your history the country was built on cheap labor the railroads were built by the Chinese and Irish the steel mills and factories were filled with immigrants from all over the world. The Mexicans were brought in the 1800s to do farm labor and during WW1 and 2 the government brought them in by the thousands for cheap farm labor in the fields. Potus will be bringing them back in when the farms, hotels and restaurants start going broke. Ever stay in a Trump hotel? they are all there turning beds and cleaning. All the stuff Trump sells and other people are hawking is made overseas in China, including the made made in America stickers on products. A lot of the MAGA hats and shirts were made over seas, Musk was wanting to build parts for his autos in Germany and where was the steel and aluminum coming from. Musk just reduced his savings to the government with his DOGE program from a trillion dollars to 150 billion and its probable going to be less.

My Great Uncle had a marina- boat store on the Niagara River in Niagara Falls, NY. For many years, in the 1960s, 70s, and 80s, he had Polish workers doing the bulk of the labor. He was of Polish decent, and knew folks in Europe who would recruit him workers. They came here on visas, but would overstay them . They spoke little English, and he had them living in a couple apartments over his warehouse. Cheap immigrant labor has been around for a long time.

Luckily most of the country disagrees with illegal immigration and has voted accordingly.

So taking advantage of poor people from other countries is OK? Why then dont we just take advantage of the poor folks here legally? If you are born here we can not make you work for slave wages , BUT, If you were born in another country we can? I do not understand your morals, but thats what makes me a racist.

That DOGE thing is a running total. They may get to 500 billion this year, but the running total is slowing down a lot. Appears to be mostly cancelled contracts and grants. All depends how much of this courts allow. Don't even know if they go back and subtract when they lose in court?

MOAB, UT
Agency: NATIONAL PARK SERVICE

$8,058,490

Total Savings

$805,408

Annual Lease Cost

Square Footage: 35,358 sq ft

Source DOGE website.

There are hundreds of these cuts on the website. It appears the total 150 billion includes a mix of this years savings and multiple ( at least ten year ) savings This tells you how little (by government budget standards) these yearly cuts are going to be that we are talking about here.

In the mean time AID which was helping to fight the spread of Ebola in Africa had all of its field workers fired. Will you still be jubilant on those savings when Ebola makes its way to our country? Hopefully the WHO steps in. Oh, by the way we no longer fund the WHO.

Also in the news last night 24 foreign students at my alma mater (Oregon State) had their visas revoked by the Trump administration and have two weeks to leave the country. No reasons given.

It feels like Europe in 1938-9 to me.

This is true, you can read about it or watch the interview from yesterday. However, some will just insult you and ask if you fell and hit your head or something like that, if you state this instead of actually listening to the fearless leader's statements, such as "So a farmer will come in with a letter concerning certain people, saying they’re great, they’re working hard. We’re going to slow it down a little bit for them".

You are correct, except the difference is that those people you are referring to came to work. America was the land of opportunity, if you were willing to work. Many of these immigrants that were crossing our borders under the Biden administration were coming as freeloaders. Free money, health coverage, free housing, etc. Guess who they were going to vote for?

Maybe if you told the true story, people wouldn't.

If they leave on their own, they can do like anyone else and get in line to be here.

If Trump has to deport them, they're not able.

There's a law against it,

Trump has always said he's for LEGAL IMMIGRATION, that's not what we're talking is it?

"U.S. Registration for Canadian Snowbirds
The new U.S. registration requirements apply to Canadians staying in the country for more than 30 days, including snowbirds who spend their winters in places like Florida. These individuals must create a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) online account and complete and submit the electronic Form G-325R.
The form must be filed online and cannot be submitted by mail or in person. After filing the form, USCIS will determine if a biometric services appointment is required to collect fingerprints. Biometric collection is not necessary for Canadian visitors or foreign nationals under 14 years of age."

"Judge will halt Trump administration from ending humanitarian parole for people from four countries."

“The nub of the problem here is that the secretary, in cutting short the parole period afforded to these individuals, has to have a reasoned decision,” Talwani said, adding that the explanation for ending the program was “based on an incorrect reading of the law.”
