Went out Monday to a leek patch and dug a bag full for myself and my cousin and his wife.
I try to get some every year to remember the ways of my grandfather and uncles from PA.
Sure miss those guys.

How would a guy know if leeks are “gone”? I’m turkey hunting next weekend and there’s at least an acre of them where I’m headed

You will be fine digging them the next few weeks. Depending on the weather, they should be good until about mid May.

I am going out this week and will be digging some to transplant into another woods and some for eating. I am blessed with acres of them on my hunting property.
