Thanks

I have read it can be transplanted both in the spring and in the fall. I don't think during the growth season is good. I bought 25 - 2 year old crowns twice and had pretty good luck with them. I planted them in the spring. It seems like the first batch of 25 had 22 living last year, two years later.

I have just wild stuff along a crick. I took some out a few years back and tried to transplant them but never worked. I bought some and followed instructions to a T and never had any luck.

I have buried the red seeds in the fall with no luck also.

They reworked the right away across some of the “wild” patches a couple of springs ago and I rescued them to new ground that spring and they where producing good stems by the next year.

Took me a couple tries to get it going. Spousal unit is the one who picks and eats it. Word is you don't harvest any of it for first 2 years......to allow it to get established. Just let it bolt and go to seed. Hard a hard time enforcing that one. Other part I didn't know.......apparently once established, roots go 10 to 15 feet deep. My biggest issue is keeping the weeds down. Their will to live is brutal.
