Replaced the radiator in my 2001 gmc jimmy and thinking I solved the problem.. nope,,, water dripping out of the motor near the harmonic balancer… truck is not even running with water dripping,,, I’m not sure if this is a cracked block or seal. It never ran hot… so I’m at a loss. Soooo frustrating!! Either way it’s gonna be a significant fix

The water pump is pretty high,,, I don’t see any leaks around it

I got some help … had someone pour water into the radiator while I was watching the water pump… and sure enough… it’s coming from underneath.. it’s almost hidden so it was difficult to see… but the water was trickling down to the harmonic balancer which looked like the leak was there.
Been a crazy week guys… my mind is million miles an hour.

After winter I’d guess it could be a freeze plug possibly.

Hoist the radiator cap and drive a new car under it. Now that's cold!

Guys,, it was the water pump,, after I let everything dry,, I had my daughter pour water into the radiator so that I could better determine where the water was coming from. It was dripping DOWN from under the pump and ONTO the side of the balancer. Water was everywhere because I had been driving and the coolant had sprayed everywhere giving it the initial impression of the leak itself being near the balancer
