I am privileged to call Jim, Mary Ann and the Family true friends..........and they've opened their home and shop and dinner table to me many times.
EVERYTHING Jim does he does at the highest of levels......every product he puts his name behind bears that out.
I, too, have many JC Connor-modified traps from BEFORE the Jake.....and I am sure all that work on many designs of traps led him to his pursuit of the perfect coyote trap.........
While many think of hardware/steel and traps when they think of JC, do yourself a favor and check out his lure offerings..........one time, we were all talking about quality lures and ingredients thereof and Jim's lures.......Mary Ann looked at me with a knowing smile and said: "No one cuts glands and handles glands like Jim". Her smile said it all.....
His modification video, along with ALL of his other videos are TOP NOTCH. Understand, when they started making videos/DVD's, they didn't have years of experience in that medium.....ON THE CONTRARY.
BUT, like everything they do, they made them to perfection. Try to find one with the wind blowing, or shaky cameras, or anything like a new videographer would do. Nope, not in a JC Connor product!
That is why the NTA was BRILLIANT when they allowed Jim and Mary Ann to head up the Master Trapper Videos they made several years ago......BEFORE the YouTube craze of "experts".
Everyone on the other side of the camera from them was or is the real deal, and the Connors traveled all around the country to capture enough content to create the Master Trapper series.
If you do NOT belong to the NTA......JOIN! And once you do, order these videos/DVD's. You will not regret it.........and you will see excellence on both sides of the camera.
