Got my May/June edition today and noticed right away your artwork on the front cover. Your style/hand is getting easier for my eyes to detect. Very nicely done. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2025/04/full-53947-255680-img_20250422_115655.jpg)

Very nice!
Good job Sharon!
There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

Thank you, TD - glad you like it. I'm still waiting to receive my copy.
Thanks everyone ....what I'd like to know, is why wouldn't a garden fed chuck be very edible themselves ? Like an apple fed pig, or corn fed Black and Gus ? Getting fat from all the garden goodies ? Or at very least, make a nice hat !
They are delicious. Prepared like rabbit.

Thank you, K snow. I haven't heard a lot about this, and as I was doing this art, I couldn't help but wonder why they wouldn't be great eating, after spending time in the garden or in an orchard. That works well for everything else !
And a hat made out of that thick nice fur would be colourful and warm, IMO. Their leather is very tough. A friend uses them to make Southern style blackpowder shooting bags.

We eat them here. Lots of people do. I grew up with my Uncle getting all the farmers together once a year for the big woodchuck hunting competition and party. Prizes, beer and food. Usually around 100 folks. Us kids would take all the back legs off and my Uncle would BBQ them. Great times with great people. I would also save all the tails and sell them to a fly fishing club. Thanks for making me remember such fond memories in my life. Art always makes me reminisce about something.

Really ! Banjo skins . Amazing. Thank you for this info.
I have played in old time fiddle competitions, such as the big one in Weiser, ID. Guitar backup to American's finest violinists.
And banjo players. Claw hammer, and my favorite, melodic. Like Tony Trishka, Bella Fleck, etc. Dearing makes top quality banjos , among others.
I'm betting there are musicians who choose the natural skin banjo faces over the synthetic . I would love to be able to discern the sound difference between the natural hide and synthetic versions.
I had no idea. Even bow strings.
The fat sounds very nice too. Up there with bear. Thank you , LooseA. , for this info.
