Keep starting it. sometimes the computer needs to reboot and make proper adjustments. Might take a dozen tries.

Chevys were bad for that too about 15-20 years ago.

Like Toms said, ya gotta relearn them to idle. I run the throttle by foot, slowly easing it down to idle speed. It'll stall a couple times but it'll relearn.

The exact manual relearn procedure varies slightly between GM models. The two most common procedures are:<

> Procedure 1 Cycle the ignition ON for 2 seconds, OFF for 10 seconds. Repeat this 2 more times, ending with the key in the ON position (3 ON/OFF cycles total). Wait 3 seconds, then depress and release the accelerator pedal 5 times within 5 seconds. Wait 7 seconds, then depress the accelerator pedal and hold it for 20 seconds. Fully release the accelerator pedal and start the engine. Let it idle in park for at least 3 minutes so the ECM can learn the new values.

Procedure 2 Turn the ignition to ON (do not start) and wait 3 seconds. Turn the ignition OFF and wait 10 seconds. Turn the ignition back to ON (do not start) and wait 3 seconds. Depress the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor and release it 5 times within 5 seconds. Wait 7 seconds then depress the accelerator pedal and hold it for approximately 20 seconds until the check engine light stops flashing and stays on solid. Release the accelerator pedal and start the engine. Let it idle in park for about 3 minutes

This is for a Subaru
If it won't idle at all and wants to stall. Just barely feather it to keep it running for the allotted time. Don't power rev it

Yeah the owner tried the
google automotive 3 times.
This thing has been problematic
since day one.
Safe to say it's their last.

I did hear of a code that aimed
toward the cat.
That cat is only a year old tho.

Oh and thanks all.
