How many of you have a box at your local Post Office USPS? Does it cost you to have that box at the Post Office? The reason I'm asking is we just have such bad mail delivery and a lot of the times we don't get mail for days. We have the App that tells us what we are supposed to get so it is nice to have that check and balance system.

I guess it would cost me to have a box at the local post office, but I haven't checked on it yet.

If the Post Office was a private business, they would have filed for chapter 11 a long time ago!

I totally respect their service, and they tell me they struggle to find good people for the routes, and they aren't making excuses. I also know if you know of a problem good management leaders should have the problem fixed.

Just looking at other options delayed mail causes problem with many things including bill paying and documents etc. for responding in a timely manner.

You can get a standard PO Box at no cost if you do not have delivery available. If you have delivery available, you must pay for a PO Box.

I had a PO box for a couple years while my road was flooded south of me. Because they could not get through, I had the option of getting a box or moving my mail box 6 miles north, which is the edge of town. I got a box and they charged me It seems like $10 a month. I had the option of still getting it delivered by moving my mail box, I chose the PO box so I had to pay. When my road reopened I had to tell them they could get through and I wanted my mail at the house. The carrier got paid for those miles even though they were not driving them. Mail service here is a joke at best.

Yep, not good here either but not complaining about it either, trying to give the benefit of the doubt.

I bet if they had shipped it Speedy it would have been there. I have gave them the benefit of the doubt for years and that hasn't helped. I got mail for my neighbor and put a not on it "Not at this address" and put it back in the box. He has a PO box in town. They shipped it back to Bismarck 140 miles from here and I got it again with a yellow sticky with my name on it. I drove to town with it and gave it to the post master and ask her to put it in his PO box. I get his mail about once a week.

I've got my mail my whole life from a PO box. Used to be a combination lock ....D-6 was my combination. They changed to key locks about 15 years ago. Costs me $70 a year.

I have a street box for my home on a pedestal with others in a big block frame, for my business I have a Post Office Box in the building due to funds coming in for orders and for shipping in and out stuff, this in house box cost $200.00 a year but I can take it off on my business taxes, if I'm expecting something of real value or know someone sending such I tell them to send it to my post office box for security, if it does not fit in the box the Post office still holds it inside and gives me a note in the wall box, works well.

Because they would have been sued out of business for breach of contract/failure to deliver services paid for

Definitely bigger problems in our government but the USPS should get an overhaul from top to bottom

I really (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) the postman off by accident. smile Kept getting other peoples mail. One day I took a Sharpe and circled the address and wrote wrong address. Next day had a post a note saying don't wright on other peoples mail. Never received other peoples mail again. The volume of packages shipped USPS has dropped dramatically because of there incompetence. Any other carrier would have straitened problems out or filed bankruptcy.

It is the fourth yesterday and no mail. 15 pieces we are supposed to be delivered. I called the post office yesterday and told them this issue and they said they are having problems with that route. I told them I understand but I also know if you know the problem good management should be able to fix the problem.

This has been going on for years not a recent issue, but I needed to tell them my concerns.
