I have been shooting a 22-250 AI which I basically the same as a 22 Creed for over 20 years. The current barrel is a 1:12 twist that shoots 52gr A-max just shy of 4000fps with a healthy dose of H380.

I have another chambered barrel ready to screw on that is a 1:7 twist. Hoping to shoot the 88’s

I bought a Howa in 6.5 and two Weatherby's, one in 30-06 and the other in 6.5-300 weatherby that had the 1 moa guarantee with factory ammo and they'll do it.

I am probably better off finding a faster twist barrel for my Fudd 25-06 to shoot the heavier offerings that came out of the 25 Creed development.

I'm just having some with the over hype that goes with the 6.5 CM. I like velocity for hunting cartridges. I think a fast twist 25/06 would have more potential. I think the 6.5 CM is the modern day 308 so to speak. Low recoil, tons of bullets, brass and factory loads available, long barrel life and pretty easy to make shoot accurate. Doesn't really shine in one area but is user friendly. I bought mine just as a fun paper puncher and something to get my feet wet when it comes to reloading. For hunting cartridges I like them to start out above 3000 fps.

I am in the same boat. Speed kills and Fuddy chamberings are still relevant. The 6.5 CM’s performance is very well documented and I have never given anyone guff over shooting what they want to. Just ain’t my thing.
