When we do big stone jobs,we change positions on the wall because everyone lays stone differently.

He used forms and placed rock and poured cement. We had the whole family helping to place rock and the forms were being added as we went up. I remember him saying that the whole process had to be completed in 48 hours or less for it to set up right. It did get insulated. The framing was after the free standing walls cured.

Nice stonework. I tried my hand at it with some native stone I gathered for some landscaping when we built our home 20 years ago.





My wife and daughter did the little "stream and family" with rocks we collected.

Very nice! A lot of work went into that. Also a lot of creativity.

Lots of stone houses and barns around here. My cellar walls are stone.
