They've chosen Cardinal Robert Prevost from the good old US of A.

Hopefully he's a good Pope for the Catholics and the world.

He lived in Peru for over two decades. I doubt he would have been elected Pope if he hadn’t done so. A commentator on the news said he will probably continue the so called reforms of the previous Pope. We shall see

Shocked that they picked and American. Not shocked that he's not an American having naturalized as a Peruvian citizen and hand picked by Francis for rapid promotion and from the left wing of the church.

This guy was ordained in 82, meaning well post Vatican II and earning his spurs during the period when the pedo priests were most active. There's no way this one doesn't know things and didn't rub shoulders with perverts, assuming the kneelers actually did clean house and this guy was vetted as clean.

I suspect we are about to see a crack down on American "old order" catholics.
