I flushed this a few days ago looking for mushrooms and checked on her again today when I was back there. So far, so good. They are cool little critters.

Mark down when you found her and when she should hatch from there. I saw a brood of little Canadian Geese today. They are they first I have seen this year.

I just saw a timber doodle on my property the other day I wonder if there’s a nest nearby ….. still no baby geese here yet …

We have little baby geeses all over the place here. Saw my first black snake, not rattler yesterday. And the bear that punched the holes in the gas jug is tearing the tarp over the fire wood every day, upsetting the burn barrel and started to climb up my three legged ladder (orchard Ladder) and ruined that. He is ruining our friendly relationship, starting to get mad at him. Oh and good news several people have seen grouse around here lately = real good news......jk

Those eggs sure blend in quite well in that ground clutter. It has been many years since I have seen a woodcock around our place.

See one here and there occasionally but never enough I would consider trying to hunt them
