I may have asked before, but do those rivers have a dredged channel?, not a lot of room before you get to the edge and shallow water?

I'm not wolf but yes they do where needed. The Army Corps of Engineers maintain navigation channels on all major rivers to include stabilization of banks to control current flow to keep the river from shifting channels around.

My stretch of the warrior river in Alabama had a maintained 100' wide by 12' deep navigation channel.

On freshwater? Wow, it takes eight foot swells out in the gulf to throw me off my feed. Not sick mind you but definitely preferring to be elsewhere.

Never been seasick, but I’m not overly fond of extended time on the surf (like 24 hours or longer) mostly because when you get back on land, if feels like it’s swaying up and down for a while

Sorry I don't answer sooner but just depends where we're at , lot of ares the current seems to keep the bottom dug out pretty decent but others there almost constantly dredging, as far as depth were usually in at least 30' of water bare minimum where we're at right now it's about 1200' across in most areas so barges can meet and pass with a good bit of room without having to worry much
