About a month ago I started itching, went to the Dr. and got some cream. At the time I was in the shop quite a bit. The itching went away. Spent time in shop Friday and I’m itching again. Anyone else experienced this. Is there something I can bomb the shop with.?

Have you seen what's biting you? The Raid bug bombs kill most biting insects, ticks, chiggers and mites.

If you use any chemicals for tanning, you may be having an allergic reaction to them. My uncle had to stop doing taxidermy because he developed bad skin reactions to the chemicals.

Could be where your walking to get to the shop that holds chiggers not being a wise guy here but is there bug habitat in your shop?

I don't believe there are chiggers in our part of New York state.

Do you have fiberglass insulation in your shop?

Mange mites possibly.

Bob, my wife got a little dog a few years ago and it had mange mites, I had to get permethrin cream to get rid of them. This feels similar. Had to shave a perfectly good beard. Could mange mites live in the shop.? There are a few beaver hides in there. Four are tanned and two are just dried.
