I did bronco class for 5 or more year using challenges and barracudas,,, . Nothing more thrilling then going over the wall and rolling to the bottom.

Never done it myself, but know people who do. They spend A LOT of money on it. I enjoy going to the local track now and then. Also enjoy going to Knoxville once in awhile for the sprint cars.

I've never been able to stand watching racing. There's no excitement in it at all for me. It feels like a punishment to watch it like watching baseball or golf, or going to church.

I've had a long running theory, with plenty of evidence, that most race fans are really bad drivers, present posters exempted. Driving is hard for the fans, therefore they are impressed by it. Race fans often have incredibly slow reflexes in my experience.

Haven't been in some time but sometimes miss the mixture of dirt and beer on a Saturday night. Benton Speed bowl/ I-30 is closed down now. Think they have made it a parking lot. Batesville track is up for sale.

Sprints are awesome, I ran one for a couple years but money limited that. Of all things ever did in life, that'd be one thing I'd love to do again!
That pic was 35 years ago. blush

I've been a life long dirt track fan.

We go once a year, usually during the fair when, besides the regular races, they have a demo derby or something like that. I could care less about the actual racing, we're just there for the noise, smells, and crashes.

Most fun, I've ever had with my clothes on.
Back when I was a young lad, and knew most of the drivers and was related to a few of them , I would go 3 nights a week.
Now, I try to make it to the local track about once a month or so.

Asphalt's for gettin there , dirt's for racin.

racecar spelled backwards , still spells racecar.

I live a mile downriver in mexico , but only go once or twice a year anymore. 40 some years at it in one way or another wore me out on going, lol.

I watch them on Flo every week now (mostly Lucas oil series). Ports slick, hard packed track of today doesn't excite me coming from the era of having a cushion if ya know what I mean.

Seeing the name "Hippie", the first thing I thought of was the Bogar Speed Shop # 99 of Jan Opperman.

I can barely remember Jan, I didn't like him because he'd always beat Smokey Snellbaker who was my favorite!

I was a Mitch Smith fan..
I live a couple miles from Williams Grove. My boss has a race team 99M. I raced motocross as a young lad. I wasn’t good at it but I had fun..
