Waffle hammers work better for people with poor hand and forearm strength, not saying that's your case, because the cuts provide more friction, making the hammer less likely to glance off, if the nail is hit at a poor angle.

Oh yeah! Or Belgian with just whipped cream.

Stop over cooking your meat! It isn’t gamey, it’s over cooked!

Don’t catch your finger then. Duh!

Who wants another Saturday afternoon beer? I know I sure do.

I can't hit a nail straight to save my life. It's embarrassingly bad. I use screws for everything. All my hammers have flat faces, because they almost never get used on nails

We used to make fun of the new guys on the carpenter crews who showed up with “meat tenderizers.”

Eh...wot?

Not making fun of you but we used to call guys who struggled to drive nails Johnny Lightning for never striking the same place twice. They usually improved in short order.

I prefer a smooth faced hammer.

Waffle heads are good on framing hammers, smooth for everything else. But I rather pull a trigger than swing for the stars.

Both!

As a former framer I swung a 28oz california framer waffle head ambidextrously, but when it came time to set windows and doors I swapped to a smooth faced 21oz rip hammer. No waffling the brick mold.

I also had the callused palms to show for it. My sorry mitts have done gone soft now.

I had a hammer whose head looked like a meat tenderizer and wasn’t worth a crap!! Got an old smooth-headed “Rocket” from the mid-60’s that built me two houses and still has a place on my work bench!! Waffles? Waffles whole grain or plain, with lots of butter & real maple syrup with a big ol’ fried chicken thigh on top!!! That breakfast will turn you into a “waffle-head” by golly!!!
