Oh yeah! And he has a great sense of humor and doesn’t get all worked up by stuff. Sure hope he stops back in. He is my 5th or 6th favorite Canadian.

He helped me a lot. I have no beef with Boco. When it got down to brass tacks, he messaged me and helped me learn to tan and now I have an extra skill. Is it a big deal? No. But I appreciate the extra time he offered me.

His fur handling is top notch

I take a lot of pride in my handling, and I can confidently say Boco has probably forgotten more about put up than I know…. I’ll miss him if he’s gone for good.

One of the first times I posted he challenged me. I wanted to discard raccoons I caught because I was in it for disease control and didn’t want the bother of learning to put them up. He basically told me to sharpen my skills, and I’m still trying to do so. Now I have beautiful coon pelts of my own and some to give as gifts because he made me think a little. And put forth the effort .

His banter was always good for a laugh or two and, as others have said, his fur handling, tanning, and skin sewing were impressively good. Yeah, I miss him being around.

Heck yeah! Now’s the time to practice and perfect it.

K Snow helps me a lot too! He gives me a lot of advice!
I got two coons that I pickled and alum tanned and they’re drying before I break em. I didn’t dry them good enough first and there were spots that still seemed wet so he said to try and wait a little longer. I threw them back in alum a couple days and washed them and put them in the spin cycle to get moisture out…( don’t tell Chuckie!!)

Now they’re back into the boards and drying much better!!

My old cranky neighbor that died several years ago left a big hole in my adversary list. Ole Jim helped fill that gap nicely until took his ball and went home.
I was thoroughly entertained by the way Boco so easily got under some people's skin. He is the master at that. To him it was all in good fun. Some people just don't see it.

Must have not been ALL in good fun for him. He got blowed up and left over that tariff business. I'd say his fun gouging folks backfired on him. Made him butt hurt.

How do you know that? I must of missed the post him about leaving because he was mad.

ADC, sometimes things go missing. Sometimes for no reason at all. Kinda like Hillary’s emails.

He’s a very proud Canadian and I believe the tariff thing and a small percentage of posters on here was the last straw. He’s doing his best to keep every thing he does Canadian and his $ north of the 49. Once this spat between our governments is over things will cool down and return to normal.
Like what was mentioned before, non trappers running off trappers on a trapping forum.

I have been trapping and tanning hides and furs for over 50 years and Boco taught me more in a few years than I learned in all that time. Learned a lot on Northern and deep snow trapping. The politics and knot heads on this site ran him and a lot of other good trappers off, seems like the sight gets worse every year with name calling and politics. BOCO was one of my favorite people on the sight for sure.

You can't let National political stuff make you crazy, it's all above our pay grade and all you can do about it is complain....so whizzing in each others sand box is fun, but serves no other purpose....

There's a handful of guys who are just full time agitators on here. I wish Paul would clean house on some of these people. Boco at least trapped.

I get a kick out of the guys that think because this is a "trapping" site, that only "real" trappers should be here.... whatever a "real" trapper is.
Maybe there should be a test on trapping ability before anyone is allowed in..Bet it would be a lonely place.

Boco is like a 10mm socket, seems lost but will pop back up when ya least expect it. I'd share a fire with that ole boy anytime. FWIW, the talk on the street is Boco is with his King Charles. He is in deep negotiations to get the Hudson Bay deal rescinded and then given to the Cree Nation. During the day he is busy with negotiations and at night he has his entourage of midgets covered in maple syrup, piles of poutine, and Celine Dion music on a 24/7 loop. He has no time for Tman right now.

If you're talking to me gcs. My position is, if someone spends almost all their time either agitating or belittling people, maybe they shouldn't be tolerated. Some of the guys who fall into this category trap, and some obviously don't. But what they have in common, is a need to agitate.

Throughout my entire career in construction there were some men like that by nature, they loved to agitate, belittle, poke fun, personally degrade, and bully until they came across someone who didn't take it and if needed, physically stopped it. I never have initiated this type of behavior and never tolerated it but it has caused me some long conditioned reactions on forums not tolerating it where there is no resolve except leave.

He was full of very valuable advice and support.
To constantly belittle him was a injustice to this website.
He was as quick as any to start it.
And very quick to defend.
Full of invaluable information, if you were seeking help.
Seems to have wanted to help any who were seeking it.
I always like to check out his posts.
I would set at a campfire anytime with him.
Lots of information left with him.
Just my opinion.

Bob shared many trapline checks and methods that I am sure benefited many on here. Not to mention his other knowledge over time. I found his contributions to be very enjoyable and informative. I too miss his interactions and sharing.

Where's the proof anyone ran him off? Could be any number of reasons he isn't on here. He has taken and given a ton of crap for years, I'm not sure he could be "run off", unless he was banned (which isn't the case). Some of you all give yourselves too much credit.

True, but internet bullies are different when met face to face. I found they're the biggest pansies out there after having the luck of meeting 2 so far. They become your best friend or tuck their tail and run quick. There's several on here that had that chance when Boco came to the US a couple years ago, but that was at a trapping convention and there were only trappers there.....lol
