Oh, I'm 67.

There a lot of us, old school forums just aren't our place

Wolfie, I don't know about that. If that's true, and I hope it is, where do all the young trappers gather?

Catch, Facebook groups, reddit , discord, YouTube, saw with predator hunting and a few other deals. Certain things about forum's get old pretty quick and most of us see no real reason to hang around . It's too easy to make your own space nowadays

Well, I don't guess I understand that but I'm glad they're out there. Doesn't matter fur boom or fur boomless lol, as long as the young ones are out there.

Personally, I love T-man and have gained a great amount of knowledge from this site.My favorite forums hands down. There is more information in these chats than any other social media platform. However, like others have said this place is extremely boring for the vast majority of younger trappers. I dont say that to be disrespectful, I am just saying other trapping facebook pages are where your vast majority of trappers are. I hope T-man stays around for my lifetime because I often find my self in the archives and strictly trapping forums just soaking it all in!! Good stuff!!

Ya, I forgot about Facebook and it’s trapping boards or whatever they’re called whichI’ve been told are pretty big, lots of Pros. Some years ago I was mentoring a young fella and he’d go on FB and come back telling me how wrong I was time after time after listening to a few of “those who say it to the greatest magnitude”.. Finally told him to get his mentoring there that I was done defending & arguing, wasting my time. He no longer traps from what I’ve heard.

I am afraid that's the problem with a lot of the Facebook pages. Not all of them have very experienced trappers on them, and mostly young guys with very small amount of trapping experience. They catch a handful of critters and consider them self experts. However that's how it goes with everything. Hunting, trapping, fishing, baseball, golf, etc... You will always have know it alls.I figure if they cant open there ears and listen to good sound advice, then that's there loss. I still say T-man has the most valuable and most experienced trappers on it in the world. I am just glad there are some younger guys and gals trapping. We need to stick together if there is to be any future in trapping.

33. i'll be 34 in august. My oldest son (12, 13 in july) has just a very slight interest and came out with me the odd time I went out. It was my first year but we got a few coons, a muskrat (that he fleshed and put on a wire stretcher to dry).

My younger boy 2 will be 3 in july, seems to love going to the woods with me and checking traps. He saw the muskrat in the 110 and lost his mind. LOOK DADDY! BEAVER!!! (we were trying to get the beaver and otters that were there). I explained to my 2 year old it wasnt a beaver, but that didn't stop him from telling his mother we caught a big beaver. funny kid.

I will be getting more and more into this as I have time. It seems really addictive and I want to build a dedicated furshed for this either this year or next.

Seen a lot of the same here honestly

In all honesty I've noticed that the Internet ain't what I used to be ..used to be able to share stuff , people love to share do tutorials, have a good time chill chats now.... Folks complain about their not being enough posts but they never post , if you post too uh you looking for attention, someone just trying to show what they do is belong told where looking for attention, lotta my way or the highway. We want more people but only if they toe the line and don't upset the Apple cart.... I mean when you bring up there problems as to why communities are dying people act like they have no clue what your talking about and your the weirdo. Used to not have to bicker and fight and do all this bs to just be in a group now ..... Most groups are like highschool.... See it in everything from gaming , to nerd stuff , from gun groups to fishing group..... Idk what it is

I only watched the first few minutes of that video. When was the last time a skeptic helped me? Yesterday... and probably just a matter of time until I can say today. Everyone needs to have their thoughts and beliefs challenged.... it's how we grow. If it wasn't for skeptics, we'd all go around just thinking we're right about everything, and what a mess that would be! Every new thought, every new opinion I've formed... came about due to a skeptic! No idea how anyone could think skepticism could be BAD thing.
