For my Self Defense Liability insurance. I was starting to read some negative things about USCCA and very positive remarks about Right to Bear plus the latter is cheaper in cost. Hope I didn’t make a mistake. Anybody on here have Right to Bear.

Self defense liability insurance??? Isn't that what a gun, knife, or stick is?
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Following this post. I just dropped U.S. Law Shield. $131.40/year. Looking for something else.

Self defense liability insurance??? Isn't that what a gun, knife, or stick is? Basically an umbrella type policy to cover the legal aftermath in both representation and expenses. USCCA has come under fire as an insurance company their policy is to minimize pay outs on claims which means using their attorneys only, accepting plea deals or even canceling at the slightest hint of a questionable shoot. Basically bottomline at the sacrifice of the supposedly insured. Right to Bear are actual attorneys and functions more like retainer and prepaid legal.

Honestly, I really didn't know that this kind of insurance was a thing. Kinda crazy!

Right to Bear covers all forms of self defense even if you have to use bare hands and not just firearms. How many times have you heard of a person being charged in a self defense case even if the person was in the right. Somebody in this predicament could end up paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees just to be acquitted. I doubt home insurance would cover any of it. An attorney with Right to Bear said he charges 10,000 dollars just for the first initial phone call if a person wasn’t a member. I was told this is the norm and not the exception for a good attorney for a self defense case. Since I carry, I would never be without this type of insurance. In fact, if I didn’t carry I would still have the insurance just for the peace of mind even for home self defense. People in a Liberal State, it is even more important. The fellow that started Right to Bear is a former member of the USCCA and didn’t like what was going on with it.

William Kirk, President of Washington Gun Law (check out on Youtube), has previously interviewed the owner of Right to Bear more than once. Here's an interview from the Shot Show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwPlkJlkuzQIf you CC and don't have insurance, hope you have a lot of money in the bank if you need to use your weapon.
