IMO Sarge, it is because they don't need to purchase one. Why spend money on an expensive weapon when you control the foreign policy of the most powerful military force on earth? They can sit back and just let us eat the cost.

One thing that is overlooked is what makes our bombers so effective and it aint the stealth.

Tankers

The B2s that hit Iran took off from CONUS and flew nonstop to target and back to CONUS for something like 36 hours in the air. That was only possible due to a series of prepositioned tankers for in flight refueling. The decoy B2s also had a series of refueling tankers as well.

This achieves two purposes. We can hit anywhere on the globe in short order and the direction of attack can come from any point on the compass.

Israel lacks the foreign bases to preposition tankers even if they spent the shekels limiting them to launching from one small New Jersey sized location and having range limited to just their immediate neighborhood.

That and heavy bombers are kind of a one trick pony when Israel's military situation is getting the most done with what you got.

Good info Warrior. I thought several of them were stationed in Diego Garcia several months ago.

Diego Garcia usually has Buffs, B52s, on hand. I believe the B2s rotate in and out as I think we try to keep our newest, read stealthiest classified, stuff close to the vest. I don't know the status of the B1 Bone other than it's our high speed bomber designed for the fly low and fast pop up on target drop and run fast home on the deck bomber. Stealth tech has pretty much done away with the need to fly under radar. The B1 is slated to be replaced when the B21 Raider comes on line sometime in the 30s or 40s.

The B52 is expected to serve into the 50s completing almost if not a full century of service.
