Hummm seems more like teaching to protest and not knowing the truth, or protesting for the truth!

teaching them nonsensical contrarianism doesn't count.

oh, wait...you're a lawyer, so you wouldn't understand the difference.

They weren't as anti gun as you'd think. I got a few dirty looks, but a few good comments too. Besides that, lefties are the fastest-growing group of gun owners.

kind of interesting that 2/3 of your lifetime protests were directed against Making America Great Again. not surprising, but interesting.

Maybe it wasn't clear enough. We homeschool. I taught a lesson on the first amendment. Part of that lesson included a practical application, which was to attend a protest. The only protest available to attend was an anti-trump protest. Wasn't my choice, that's all that was available. As far as the signs; part of the lesson involved holding signs. We obviously weren't going to hold anti-trump signs, so I had them hold silly signs. (Dogs are better than cats, we heart minions, I love kittens, honk it I'm handsome, etc.). I'm sure you're all smart enough to comprehend.

No, all the protest I've known of were held by leftist. Not being a leftist I felt no reason to attend. As for a teaching lesson they have a thing called TV where you can view many of these leftist protest without giving the appearance of greater numbers of support for said leftist cause by my attendance.

As far as protest that is available just wait a day and there will be one on some other protest bs. That's just what the left do. Probably due to no direction clarity and fulfillment in their life's.

Maybe I'm not smart enough to understand your thought process on this.

But, I would have instructed my kids on how to rig up a spinning reel and carried them fishing. Or, we would have done some deer scouting or hunting.....or trapping.....

Home school project or not.....carrying your kids to such nonsense seems like indoctrination training that you condoned...even encouraged.

My concept of what to expose kids to varies greatly from your's.

Maybe for our lesson on the 2nd amendment we could watch people shoot guns on tv.

This is why homeschooling isn't for everyone. Some parents want their kids to actually go out in the world and experience what they're learning, some parents are fine with sticking their kid in front of a tv.

You said it, not me.

We also learn fishing, hunting, and trapping here. Believe it or not, I can teach more than one subject.

it stretches credibility that kids need to be taught how to hold a sign.

and given that "teaching the lesson that sometimes you've got to do things that other people might not like or approve of was part of the lesson"; wouldn't it have made more sense to show up at an anti-Trump protest with PRO-Trump signs? asking for a friend...

no one there would have objected to the signs they held...(and wasn't that really the point of the lesson? to stand up to opposition?)

you failed as a teacher for THAT particular lesson.

It takes a special person to overinflate their self importance enough to think anybody who is somebody gives a flip about protesting.

And here's a clue, the louder, more obnoxious misguided attempts at intimidating others only galvanizes their opposing views.

Grow up, get a job, get over yourself....Because your just not that important to the people who really run this country.

Or you could take them shooting and explain the details to them, I can see your thought that other folks could do a better job of that. LOL Taking children to a place that could break out in violence would not be my first choice.

We homeschool and each family does what works best for them it's kind of the point.

Myself I won't expose my kids to potential and dangerous environments like a protest that can turn bad in a hurry.

I also wouldn't take them to an LGBT gathering for exposure or grooming.

Infact limiting their exposure to the left indoctrination is infact a driving force in homeschooling for my family.

I think that's what all the detractors are getting at. You do what you think is right for you and your family. You're light years ahead putting in the work and scracafices homeschooling vs those sending their kids off to indoctrination camp and subcontracting it out.

So when sex education becomes part of the curriculum are you to teach your kids about homosexuity by using the Book or take them to a gay bar for learning?
