If so, which style and how did you like it. I just started the WU style to try to improve my coordination, and balance among other things.

I have thought about taking some beginner classes because of my condition. I've read it can be helpful in a lot of ways including dexterity, movement, due to arthritis, stenosis, and more.
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

I tried that and it doesn’t work. A practitioner needs a good instructor to show the proper techniques and correct improper form.

Yes I participated in Tai Chi for one season. Not sure which one I did. Used to go to a park on Tuesday and Thursday nights and do Tai Chi with a group of about 10 people. I stood in the back and tried imitating what everyone was doing. I still meditate most everyday for at least a half hour. I found Tai Chi very relaxing. Meditation helps keep me level headed and lowers my blood pressure and heart rate.
Once I had the motions down I found doing Tai Chi with my eyes closed more relaxing. At first it tested my balance but after a few sessions it became more fluid. I was surprised how much it hurt the first week because my body wasn't used to stretching to that degree. But once the lactic acid in my muscles subsided I was fine for the rest of the year.
I hope you find as much enjoyment in it that I did. I also found the other people that participated very interesting.

Tai Chi, when done with speed, can also be used as a self defense art although most people do it for health. My instructor shows how each move can be used in a self defense scenario which helps understand the reason for each move.

This last Saturday I watched a Buddhist monk do their "slow walk" around our farmers market with incense and a little bell. About 15 ft behind a Buddhist girl followed his footsteps with bowed head.
I'm thinkin' a few Buddhist chants and some incense might help you out Savell. You know, be all you can be. Maybe catch more wildcats.
