What's your thoughts on a true southerner?

Demographics or mindset ?

To me, it's not Demographics, all the southern folk

are nothing but transplanted Yankees.

We are all immigrants in a sort

… my people started the South … traced back to the beginning

… a true Southerner has generations invested … ancestors that fought for the glorious South to keep the country from becoming what you see today

…. A True Southerner still embraces the spirit of 1776

… Yankees ruined it and continue to do so

So it is said, a true southerner is a mix of black, French, and Irish nationalities

Not sure where the Mexicans come in play but Texas is Mexican not southern

… my ancestors came from North Carolina and whipped the jumped up (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) out of the mescins

…. And I’m French Irish …if there’s any African it didn’t show up in my lips … they’re thin lol

I know some fine yankees that exhibit many southern traits. It is a state of mind but you just can’t fully appreciate it unless you were born into it.

The part you are from is basically Alabama in the north. Lol
