Our favorite Utah Senator is continuing to try ram this down our throats even though 70-80 percent of his constituents oppose it!

Those of you with fence straddling senators, get ahold of them and let them know you don’t want this sold off!! We need some of these red legislators with a real back bone to stick this stuff where the sun don’t shine! This would be just the beginning of the end of public lands as we know them now. Let’s just liquidate our assets RATHER than raise the user fees and loyalty rates for use of these lands. Balance a budget but don’t sell OUR assets ! I’m so stinking fired up by this I better just stop before i say something over the line. This will likely be happening fast so contact TODAY please. If sold would these lands not be on the tax base then? I have stated this before we used to give land to settlers to develop, why not do this now?

Because then they become private and an asset to a smaller number of folks to utilize and enjoy…..likely rich and select folks. And you know they’ll play the shell game and NOT likely actually pay taxes.

I guess in your opinion then, you better call your senators and tell them to push this through and liquidate all the public lands for “settlers”. They are actually doing this in the guise of “affordable housing”! They ain’t fooling me! Happy trapping! ScottW

Because I don't want to pay to hunt! The recreational value is worth more than the pittance of money AG producers pay in taxes, that's mostly who would own the sold public land.

Do you allow the public to hunt and trap on this land without having to ask for permission? No need for an answer. But you can.

The Feds looking to sell 2 million acres of 650 million acres, doesn't seem like much.

That sets a terrible precedent.

A chunk of the Black Hills is suddenly for sale the last couple years not sure when it was privatized but now it’s posted in many places that were public accessible before. Lots are being sold in other places nearby you really notice it if it’s your hunting area I’d say don’t let them sell an acre you can bet the only ones that gain anything will be the politicians while we lose access to public hunting.

Always remember , Any Gov't first interest is its own survival and to further anything that benefits itself. I am in complete agreement with wyo wolfer. Look at how "Cross Threaded" Montana became with the "Hollywood Ranches ", example being Ted Turner... Affordable Housing -Right ! If it ever became housing it would not be for White Americans .

You believe they would actually stop at 2 million?

The state should have first dibs on federal land sales if the people of that state want it to remain public ground. I'm sure in counties where these grounds are becoming available that a handful of landowners own the majority of the private land now available. I'm sure these land owners would like to keep it that way and the county control that comes with it. They would likely be against the sale of federal land to the general public.

Maybe add conservation organizations being allowed to bid on the land with developing the land not being any option it stinks of corruption.

I don’t think federal lands should be sold. I’m even on the fence about states selling land. I’ve bought a couple pieces of property from the state, but they can’t keep doing it forever or we won’t have any state land (hence why I’m on the fence about it)

I don't think the federal government should own as much as they do.

North Dakota and Texas is a good example.

If the federal government controlled as much land in those 2 states as the do in Nevada we would move much much more reliant on foreign oil and gas.
