What's the point of cramming the entire 5th Fleet into the cramped and shallow Persian Gulf in the age of drone swarms and hypersonic missiles? Pearl Harbor 2.0 to justify a ground offensive? So, I'm guessing you're not a fan of your Chancellor? Link

Heard them say one guy was promoted after his superior was killed, and 4hrs later he was killed. I'd be saying, no thanks !

Dang, they got 'em all but the leader and one other commander. Maybe they had a reason not to get the last commander.

So, I'm guessing you're not a fan of your Chancellor?
How could I be a fan of a Chancellor who is destroying German economy? But as things look right now, you might join us on the path of inflation.

I thought I'd read that the German economy grew twice as fast as expected in the first quarter this year and that both consumer spending and business sentiment are up. Am I misinformed?

Interesting. I thought I'd read that the German economy grew twice as fast as expected in the first quarter this year and that both consumer spending and business sentiment are up. Am I misinformed? It is up but the experts expect it to reverse some once Trumps tariffs kick in on them. From this persons posts, I don't think is Trump fan, lol.

Its sounds more and more likely that the United States is getting ready to hit Iran. All Americans are being evacuated from Israel. Buckle up boys and girls.. we are on the cusp of ww3.

I have two Iran friends that came over her before the Shaw was taken out, lived in their country, did their service, up to that point, then came over here legally and became dual citizens. I've also met many of their friends that have done the same !! I was working with these two for over 20 years making all kinds of Lasers for all sorts of service, these guys are not dummies !!
All of them are great people, and all say the same thing that when the religious leaders took over the whole country retrograded to the stone age, no freedom, all controlled by the R, Guard who protect the religious leaders for the reward of freedom for them selves.
They also say not to believe or trust any thing that they or the guard say about, or getting along with anyone, they say that the leaders will take out any one that threatens them at their whim, that they are are able to do, which usually amounts to rhetoric talk about other countries trying to oust any one, but they say make no mistake they are very hard and unmerciful on their own population for controlling them !
All that being said, Iran has proven time and time again that they are not to be trusted, with any kinds of destructive high yield weapons, and us letting them go ahead with building and enriching nukes is on us, no one else, we made that deal and for what reason, to keep them in some sort of control, that we actually had none over and now it's coming back to bite us in the hind quarters !
This is why our country stands with Israel and supports them with all the might they need to control or help shift the leadership back in Iran to some forward movement.
Complaining about us supporting them won't stop it, it is the only way to clean up Iran with our help without having another Iraq debacle, letting Israel have the honor of success with our help but not actually be so involved as to controlling what's done is the only way that those in Iran will be moved forward to start again, like it or not we are in the middle, there is no out !!

Inflation and growing economy generally occur at the same time. Econ 101. Was referring to his comment about his chancellor destroying their economy. Generally higher than expected GDP growth and high business sentiment aren't signs of an economy in ruins.

From 1991 to 2024, Germany's inflation-adjusted gross domestic product shrank by more than 25%. During the same period, inflation-adjusted nominal national debt increased by 400%. The actual debt is even higher. This is what Merz inherited from his predecessors. And he promised to solve the problems through reforms. Now he's accumulating new debt at an unprecedented record pace, and he's not solving any of the problems. On the contrary, he's resorting to socialist measures, such as subsidizing electricity prices for industry, instead of sustainably reducing electricity generation costs. The effect this will have is clear: Nominal gross domestic product will grow strongly. And inflation will continue to grow significantly faster than gross domestic product, meaning Germany will continue to become poorer. We'll be able to take stock two to three years after the end of Merz's term in office. But the consequences are already clear.
