My son used my dump trailer and it came back like this…
Spring to axle measurements are the same on each side.
I would think it would be hard to bend a hub on a 7 k axle?

Is other wheel on that axle cattywampus?

Just have your son run everything backwards and repeat what he did before.

Its bent front to back? Is it on both sides?

Did he hit it with a skid steer loading the trailer?

Are the u bolts still straight up and down?

Hung it on a curb would be my guess

I would figure easier to displace it in the Ubolts than bend a 7K axel but measuring all around will better tell you

Otherwise is good. Ubolts are were they should be.

How's the rim ?

It would take a hard blow to bend that

Spring leaf center bolt broke? That can allow the axel to move/twist/slide/roll in the u-bolts.

some more measuring to make sure nothing else is bent but then
new 7K axels look like around 500-600 dollars to buy
