They can be lucky we don't take up curling.

Actually, the cup will be spending more time in Canada than any other country this summer when the players get the cup to take the cup home for a week each soooooo, yea…….lol You need a lot of Canadian players if you want the cup. Who won the 4 Nations? Short memory eh? Congrats Florida!

With our larger population there is a much larger amount of players to chose from and chances of having great ones. Law of averages. You don't understand how the NHL works I guess. There's more Canadian and other nationalities players on every American NHL team than Americans

Takes more than the players to make a winning team.

Takes heart. To lots of countries players, the Stanley Cup is just a cool trophy to hold, but not worth destroying your body for. Paul Mariuce is a top notch coach…… “I want you to effing bury them into the boards every effing chance you get! And by game 7, they they’ll have nothing effing left!” Screaming in the dressing room at the top of his lungs. He took the Jets as far as he could, after that, it’s the players.

As long as we keep Kawi Leanard down here they don't win too many basketball championships either. That’s true indeed. Not likely to happen anytime soon again either. Would OKC be on the brink of winning this year without the league MVP on their team? Where’s that guy from? Oh yeah, same place as the Panthers playoff MVP.

Florida’s management has put on a master class in building a winning team. From draft picks, to free agent signings, to excellent trades, they’ve created a winning recipe.
Population don’t have much to do with it, there were more Finns contributing hugely to that win than actual American born guys. I don’t think Finland would even be your biggest city in population.

I personally never understood the draw. Large wast of time and money for bread and circus That has zero effect on our life. BUT many like to spent their time and energy doing so.

It seems ironic that a state like Florida would win a championship in a sport that involves ice skating. Congratulations to them on beating a good team!

Tampa Bay was hot early on, Vegas was set up to win right off the hop, Dallas is always a threat. But Bettman just couldn't do it in Arizona. Look at the Jets, best team in the regular season. But look at the caliber of hockey in these last 6 games. Totally different game in the finals. Poor Perry, he's been to the finals a lot but only got one ring. Old bugger is killing himself with these long seasons....lol
