Has anyone of you'll ever heard of the web site called www.lakefishingcenter.com ? The prices are really unbelievable cheap. I think I've been scammed out of a $150. There's no phone # or physical address listed on the web site, only way of contacting them is thru e-mails. The web site says give 7-15 days for shipping. I called PayPal and talked to them about it maybe being a scam, but they told me that I have to give them the 15 days before I can dispute the charge, PayPal said that I'm covered thru Buyers protection but it could take up to 90 days to be credited back from this charge.

I hate all these scam artist always scamming people. I should have know better at 62 years of age. mad mad

I just clicked the link and it was blocked by my anti virus stuff. says it doesn't have a valid security certificate.
Hope you get what you ordered or at least get your money back.

Businesses now buy a BBB rating. I have a BBB complaint against my company a very long time ago. The BBB called me. If I paid them $600 (i'm not sur of the amount now), they would list me as BBB approved and mark the dispute as settled. Scam. I said no to the shake down.

Its an extorsion group. Probably one of the longest white collar scams since government allowed career politicians. They threaten business owners to pay their fees for membership and all the crap "or else we'll have to give you a negative rating". Sorry, but if a consumer wants to do a background check on a business, they should pay for that service. It should not be the business paying a premium fee for a premium rating. Probably 15-18 years ago I told them to F off. I was dumbfounded by the way it was presented as legalized extortion and I wanted nothing to do with them. A little different for me as a custom home builder, most clients knew of me and my reputation before they ever called me.

As for internet businesses, no address, no phone, NO SALE! NO EXCEPTIONS! I realize there are many start up retail business that are a drop-ship /order handler / part time gig. But we all know that eventually something goes wrong or not as expected. If I don't have a reasonable means of "live" communication with them, I pass and buy elsewhere

Wow. Straight out of the Jesse Jackson/Al Sharpton playbook. That's pretty low.

If the address doesn’t have that little lock in the beginning where you typed it in, that can be a flag.
Use Apple Pay or a 3rd party system and buy something cheap to test it out. That way no info gets stolen and you’re only out a few bucks if anything.

You need to check the address too. A lot of scammers rent a mailbox.

If you check the "about us" section it should explain a lot. That company claims to be a grocery store that serves it's local community. The problem is they have no physical address or phone # listed in the "contact us" section and they are selling fishing gear. I'd be pretty leery about buying on there too. The good thing is your PayPal should refund you.
