Welp , was told I'd should do another gun build post and just so happens I'm dipping my toes into the large fram AR world ....partly out of spite buuuuut thats something to talk about later lol....will it work right off the rip and I get bored of it....will I have fun ripping my hair out making it work because I have issues? To me a true AR build is customizing it piece by piece. I build my lowers and uppers by the piece. That way you can tinker with different gas tubes and blocks to see what works best. In any case, excited to see how it comes out for you. I've never messed around with the AR-10 platform.

in the last 2 years have taken 4 bucks and a bear from 300 to 488 yards. the man bun BS is only because its all the younger generation reads about on the net,, but nothing wrong with it.

Nah it's because I build them with what's considered "trash" or sub par parts lol. Amazon bipods , no name scopes , lower tier this , poverty level that .Had so many people cally fun build trash I said why not and just started calling them trash builds lol.

Alrighty anyhow back on topic.
Went with a BCA side charging upper partly because I never had a side charger , partly I thought with the longer action it would be a little nicer vs a standard charging handle aaannnnnd partly because something about racking a side charger is just really cool I'm still a kid at heart so bite me

Anyhow went with 6.5 creed because... Idk don't have one thought it was a neat caliber and was always a little miffed when I went to go get 120gr bullets for my Grendel and all they would have where 140's for the creed so whatever.....also Dad just got his DPMS in in .308 and anything semi new annoys him so that too also looking at probably converting this to .22 creed or .22-250 down the road .... Just depends if they start making fast twist.22-50 barrels or affordable.22 creed first

Now AR10's / LR308 ( and sr25's ,Ruger sfrs ect) don't really have a set pattern so there can be a lot of issues but apparently the bca uppers and PSA lowers usually for together pretty well though a little fitment work is normal. That a long with some ..not great experiences with there uppers from outdoor edventers and the hide on YouTube, kind a old me on trying these and seeing just how bad they are . Though like all BCA products apparently it's a hit and miss deal.

Okie die so right now the box it honestly looked very nice , every thing was well oiled no nicks or scratches good good finish ect



All was looking good....till I wigggeled the handguard annnnd yeah ...that's ...that's not supposed to happen


Now I thought if anything it was probably just the handguard being loose and no big deal but just to be safe I decided to pop the handguard off really quick and check the barrel nut. Honestly thought it was silly for me to do because about every assembled upper I've gotten from BCA has been over torqued and just a bear to get off .... Pretty sure some of y'all remember his pic when I was trying to get the barrel off that bolt action upper I got from them


So calle surprised when this dang thing spun off
I mean was barely hand tight ! Guess they heard my complaints about my last ones and said "Aight then we'll make this one reeeealllly easy like"


On the bright side it was well greased so there's that at least I guess lol.
So no biggie just gotta tighten that ole barrel nut up aannnd
