I see LD has one on Trap Shed. I'm looking and this one has good ratings and alot of power. Who has one and what brand? Would you buy it again?

Bakcou Mule....probably more money than the everage joe wants to spend on a bike, but its an absolute tank. Got the largest battery available and it will go 32mph (according to the speedo on the bike, I have not checked it against a GPS). I still think their are only 3 reputable ebike companies specializing in offroad hunting ebikes...QuietKat, Rambo, and Bakcou. Having said that, those 3 are all overpriced in my opinion and you may find a different brand that will work for your needs just fine...

Read up on them that’s a lot of watts 750 is the max in many areas, trail, parks and forests not sure how they would know 750 seems to be plenty look at the range and weight its nothing like a regular bike. Get the seat hight and how far it will adjust and do the math tall and heavy with that battery 2 feet on the ground is safe.

Buddy had one that flexed in the middle to absorb road shock his did not fit him well he sold his so fit is very important.

That’s a lot of bike for the money I’d definitely look into that deeper before you buy it, it seems off that’s a lots of watts and miles for that price thats strange.

HJM is the brand I went with after hour/days of internet research. Not sure of the top speed, but I think its upper-20s mph. That's too fast on a logging road...lol

It is 750w and is hub drive (motor is in the rear wheel hub.) Many models available are mid-drive ( the motor is at the pedals). I won't go into the pro and cons of the drives....you need to do some research based on your terrain.

There is NO question (for me) that a bike being used for hunting needs to be a step-thru version. When gear or game is strapped to the racks, you dont have to lean the bike to get on it...thereby unbalancing the rig. Keep.it upright and get on and go.

Also, the step-thru frame makes it much better for us older hunters to even get on it.

I bought the HJM about 18 months ago. Paid $1500 new. Shipped from New Jersey by Southeastern Freight Lines...I.picked it up at their terminal 20 miles from here.

I added the wide rear rack (Rambo accessory) and the gun rack (Kolpin). Some brands dont come with critical accessories such as fenders, racks, lights....and those will have to be purchased separately....$$$!

About the only feature that makes an ebike a so-called "off-road hunting" ebike is the factory camouflage paint....lol. I just ordered a black one.....easy to hide.

I love mine! Zero complaints. It's keeping this old man in the game. It's one of the best purchase decisions I've ever made.

Why would you want something you have to struggle to get on and then have the pedals you’re never going to use? I got the Bakcou Timberwolf awd scooter and really like it.

Being a bike gets you on more trails that a scooter might not be allowed on, the USFS has a bunch of rules that vary from forest to forest manager it’s a gooberment nightmare.

I use my pedals sometimes and I like to sit down for a long ride.

That scooter costs twice as much as a good ebike.....$$$

But I can see a use for the Timberwolf scooter......also, don't see many options for hauling gear or game.

Same. I had three e bikes ( they're for sale) after getting a bakcou scooter I ended up buying a second. So much less accident prone while carrying a gun or bow. My buddy who loved his e bike took one ride on my scooter on a farm we lease and immediately wanted one. Heavy clothes, gear,etc, no worries, just step on and go.

If possible get one with 3" tires over 4". Unless you're going to be riding mostly on sand or snow. I have a M2S with 3" tires. 750watts is max on majority of federal lands. Or get a1000watt and slap a 750 sticker on it. 90% are cheap Chinese. I use mine on all roads,no trails. I wouldn't concentrate too much on speed over how far it will carry you and your gear.

How are they on hills?

I have one and it doesn't like very steep hills at all.

what is the drive on yours? hub drives are only meant to for flat ground and no hauling. mid drive is the way to go.

Hub drive.

It does good for a morning ride up along the river road to get the day started, but it wouldn't pull a sick......well you get the idea, lol
