So I put it up for the night and got up this morning, ordered a upper vice block from a place I kept seeing them recommended but in the mean time I wasn't gonna shoot this thing till I got that barrel tightened up so did some digging for a hour so so and ends up pleant of folks used to just make vice blocks outta friggen scrap 2x4's! Really not crazy different than barrel clamps
Ed makes so crazy accurate AR10 wild cats and all he uses is a big adjustable wrench and one of these wooden vice block deals so guess if it works for him

Some scap 2x4

And how it basically works, just sandwiches the upper nice and tight to weee I can't move but won't let the vice crush it
[Linked Image]

And had to go next door real quick and borrow my uncle big vice , and as you see has her nice and tight no wiggle
[Linked Image]

....now did I possibly have to use a pip wrench with fabric on the jaws..... possibly..... But have I also seen the 91fox's do the same rebarreling M4 well
wink

Ok now comes the fun part.... As I said before AR10/LR308's I like AR15's ...have no mil spec meaning alot of stuff is not interchangeable heck even if the upper and lower should fit if ones comes from company a and the other from company b parts might have SLIGHT differences in this or that where they won't fit . That's why most people say to just get everything from eh same company..... I'm not right int he head so I decided to get a BCA upper and PSA10 lower because most of the time they fit no issue apparently....but sometimes they do need a lil fitment the requires a Dremel tool. Now...the up side to this is if you don't right and take you time you can end up with a rock solid upper and lower fit . usually they will rattle and jingle a little bit since you fitting them together well you can make them fit really tight.

Now I was of course one of the goobers who has a deal that don't quite fit as you can see
[Linked Image]
Those pin holes are off just enough so I can't get my pin in so.... Dremel time !
First mask it off a little
[Linked Image]
And now what part to grind ? From all the reading and watching apparently this radius right here is what causes alllll the issue so we're gonna work nice and easy with a sanding drum on both sides checking frequently
[Linked Image]

And as you see I also tried some other spots just because
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]

Though that part I circled was really the only one I kept needing to hit. Found. Out of you put a light behind it you could see pretty easy where you making contact and needed to grind
[Linked Image]

And after about 10-15 min of sanding and fitting got a nice solid fit and this is my outcome
[Linked Image]
Also sanding down just a little bit of the read take down pins head because it was hitting the top of this lil ridge but wasn't needed

Alright now all that's dong and it dry cycles nice....nice or see if it blows up in my face !
Btw thanks cav1 Boone and ridge runner for the mag advice
Anyhow other main issues I read with these is not cycling or locking back so two round from the mag should be good enough
[Linked Image]
Btw anyone ever did reloader math ? Kinda like chicken math . For the price of 20rd I can get about 100 of these
[Linked Image]
Or a bag of brass , almost a con of powered oooorrr about 25-300 primers.....don't...don't cont shipping though ...or taxes lol

Alrightly I to the berm !

Following this. I am tempted to try one in 243. I’d really wanted a 22-250 just because I have a bunch of ammo but it seems no one can get them to run.

Tell her FRT stands for Feathered Response Tool.
Its necessary equipment to protect her quail. You're doing this for her. Its merely a demonstration of your love & devotion to her and her hobbies.

You asked about the scope.

There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

Looks like some fun to be had Hippie. I hope its a shooter
Those 7 saums are suppose really be able to stack them in there. Probably not as fun as a trash build but u got to start somewhere. Not everyone one has the resources to go with quantity over quality.

Yeah that's what I've been seeing and honestly I was really considering doing one in .22-250 to try and see what all the fuss was about but I really don't have much use for a 250 unless it's a fast twist barrel
