Thanks guys,

Lots of room for improvement.

I like following Wolfy's builds because I know absolutely nothing about those guns and he gives good info. I'm hoping to add to keep the thread going is all.

Tell y'all how I like to go about changing yardage without wasting ammo.

Have a spotter, White Marlin goes along with me, ill pick out a rock or where we go there's usually clay birds on the berm behind the targets. Shoot at something on the berm and adjust the scope to where the dirt flies. Gets you on the paper with a shot or two at most.

Hodgdon "extreme" series powders are what I've been using. H1000 and H4350 mostly but I have all large chamberings.
Whatever fills the case the fullest without overloading but I'm no expert by any means.

I'd clean it and it'd hit left, then two in the bull. I'd clean bore and first shot would be left of bullseye, loll
Figure that one out.
This was at 200yds, didn't shoot at 100 yet.

At 500 it strung them horizontal, but several things to do yet that should fix that.

Whoops, the top pic needs rotated a quarter turn

Wait wait wait ...you skipped load development @100yd and went right to 200 and 500 ? You know what I love it ! grin cool
What them velocities looking like ?

Nice.

As far as cost goes for parts and accessories.

Tell her you’ll remember that when the horse and livestock bills start stacking up. lol.

Hay burning, walking vet bills. Lol

Yes sir, the top pic are at 200yds and the first ten shots ever from this gun. Then I took 3 shots at 300 and was happy with it so then moved to 500 where I took 2 shots at the dirt after which I finished the 20 rounds I had at the second target pictured.

This trip was simply a barrel break-in trip and to get some numbers for a starting point. It was running 3010 average on speed w/150gr bullet and starting load charge. I'm guessing it'll end up in the 3100fps range as I ease up on it.

Okie dokie sorry been having. To deal with some other stuff
Range report time cool

Really this was more of function testing and for the price of ammo...by the time I got a few boxes to try I could have had 200 different bullets to try and two pounds of power . So just gonna use up the rest of this Norma I bought, which....to be fair ... Is supposed to be pretty decent stuff
So our set up. Yes I'm running a bipod and rear bag seems like with my AR's i always try and use the front rest and rear bad eveyone likes but I just end up going back to this because honestly it's more comfortable. If your good with the other way or a sand bag great I'm happy for you but I like this.... Also due to how tall of a professional this heffier has I can't comfortably shoot it with my leather rear bag so .
[Linked Image]

Now did do some stuff I was recommended by some.more experienced AR / bipod shooters one bekng I scared in a lil board I could load my bipod against
[Linked Image]
And two I made a bag rider. Basically if your stock isn't made for shooting with a bag and is slanted or has pic rails or something they don't work as well as a stick made for shooting with bags . I'm not saying you can't or you need one just eveyone and there mom says these things help a lot so I made one....always get told I never listen and take advice so look I'm doing it laugh anyhow it's just a chunk of 1" dia aluminum rod ( like $20 for two 2' long pieces online ) and a old 1" scope ring
[Linked Image]

So anyhow spent like half my ammo @50yd trying to get on paper whistle yeahhh my bore sight wasn't on like usual but gave me some time to try and get used to the gun some.more
[Linked Image]

Now will say this thing definitely has more of a heavy recoil but it's honestly not that bad compared to my other AR's definitely needs a bit more firm.of a grip but all the hoopla I heard about them from the AR snobs just inst there
Slow mo of the recoil for anyone interested in that sort of thing. Definitely need some practice because I do have som.bipod bounce on the left leg

Anyhow 6 rounds later I got on paper and of course I had to hit my support

Btw peep my new lil canopy lol thought it would help with the glare intend to get but egh setting sun in your easy ain't the best

[Linked Image]

Annnnd first five round group was sick
[Linked Image]
But practice makes perfect and had five round left so decided to get some velocity data while I was at it and try again
Also give me a chance to see how much my magneto messes with the groups ,I know I have some guns that hate this thing and some it don't do anything
[Linked Image]

Also adjusted my bipod and bag a little more annndd
[Linked Image]
Not terrible ! And without the high left one would be pretty acceptable imo

Noting out the normal I can see , one or two ejector swipes but that's about it.
Welp got some new starline brass to prep and some hornady 140gr ELDM to load ....I was kinda dumb though and didn't order any power and seems all I have that I can use is Accurate 4350 so laugh we'll see what happens

Alrighty time for some reloading.

* WARNING WARNING WARNING IM KINDA A IDIOT AND I DONT HAVE 30YEARS OF RELOADING AND OR GUNSMITHING EXPERIENCE, IM PROBABLY GONNA BLOW MY FACE OFF PLEASE DONT JUST COPY ANY OF THIS DO YOU OWN WORK UP AND GO WITH PUBLISHED DATA *

Not doing anything super crazy because I hear all this talk about "the superior modern chamber design of the 6.5 creedmore " and " it just works !". So running starline brass , which is universally agreed to be so good stuff , not lapua but definitely good . And the bullet that's just supposed to friggen work is a 6.5 , the hornady ELD-M 140GR
Funny thing about starline is I check every piece and i rarely have one that not within or under spec for both head space and length, honestly....I think I could probably just throw a quick chamfer and debur on them and go to town ..but to be safe regular full length size , and all that
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]
Also I was a bit of idiot and accidentally ordered small rifle primed brass instead of large rifle primed
tired and all I got are these mag tech primers I ordered just to try but hay...life ..lemons ..vodka or something
[Linked Image]

Also powder, said I'd just go by the shop in baton rouge on my way home off the boat but guess who never did blush ends up the only thing I have that could work is a can of accurate 4350, which from reading and looking is a slower burn then H4350 ( which is apparently THE POWDER, for 6.5 creed) but still apparently works, but definitely gonna have some slower velocities
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]
And after all these stuff I've done with AR15's found out most of the time where gonna be running slower due to the gas system so I just went ahead and went what seem like upper middle of the road so 41.5gr figured I should get around the low to mid 2500's .
[Linked Image]

And man we're already up there a bit , right blow the shoulder

As far as my CBTO /COAL... Idk I just loaded to where they would run in the mag good and not catch then hand loaded them to make sure they chambered without any sticking. I mean I could go the whole deal over finding jam and all that ...but I'm stuck at mag length , so if I can have them as long as possible in the mag and there not sticking meh
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]

Also with as much inertia these lil dudes are gonna be going though especially with new brass I decided to give em a lil crimpy crimp , just a kiss really . Actually tried to measure it though not sure how accurate it is
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]

And here we go
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]

Ok same as the other day , 100yd , bench bipod read bag , I do cut my lil bag rider down a bit though because it was hitting my non firing hand
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]

And our first target !
[Linked Image]

I honestly have no clue what happened with he high left one crazy but hay stuff happens... But without it
[Linked Image]

Also had one with a pretty wild velocity swing out the others
[Linked Image]

So promising but velocity way low... really wanted at least 2600fps so went in and loaded some at 42.0 GR and honestly with this power and bullet imm call this max because I was getting a lil crunching goin on buuuuut on the target grin
[Linked Image]

O got excited and dropped that very last one
mad but you know what technically "Sub MOA" laugh think I'll call this good with this power load a few up and go pound some steel

How do you like that powder dispenser?

I'm still using beam scales and its a little slow when doing 50 or so rounds at a clip.
