Is that a piece of glue trap or a piece of tape?

I hate deer flies. They showed up again here a couple of week ago. So far, there are not big numbers of them yet.

They'll welt you up bad. I hate the things. There's times I can't even go out back without a mosquito net over my head and long sleeves full pants and gloves. I don't know how the animals can take it

That's a great idea cuz without a hat they're always in your hair.

I see some people resorting to using fake dragonflies on sticks clipped to their hats. Not sure if it works for flies, but the idea is the dragonfly is a predator to certain flying insects and have a couple dragonflies always buzzing around your head keeps the other bugs away.

They are bad around here right now along with the bigger horse flies

Don’t have any here in my area thank goodness had enough of them in the UP they take a chunk.

I watched a video on those yesterday. The guy wore two fake dragonflies and still got badly bitten, so much so that he quickly ended the video.

Man I hate those thins! I've been on float trips when you slip up next to a gravel bar and you get swarmed by HUNDREDS of those little @#$%*&&*^%$#!

Google tred-not deerfly patch. They really work well, I only got bit once by the toothy little sob's.

Just talking about those critters the other day, wondering how y'all put up with them.

I staple fly strips to an old hat. Works great.

I heard about this trick from the I Knew That Fur-Fish-Game book: If there is a deer fly buzzing around you, just stand up next to a tree (the bigger the tree the better). When the deer fly can't circle you anymore, it just gives up and flies away. Works for me every time. Obviously can't just stand next to a tree when your on the tractor but thought I would share this tip anyway

Whenever deer flies are circling my head I wait until they land and then kill them. You have to be very quick if you are to hit it, but that solves the problem very quickly!

Spray the woods line around your property.

That would have no effect here People I know have tried with zero results. They actually swarm around our cars when we get in and you can see them looking out the window following your car. I can't even outrun them with the 4 wheeler lol

Basically a plastic bottle painted blue and covered in tangle foot.

Put it on a piece of PVC so it sticks up a little taller than my head on the ATV

I have ended the lives of hundreds using this method
