My goodness. I have just now prayed that our God will see to it that all down there will receive what they need.

The fairly vast drainages that into the Guadalupe are stone- either granite or limestone meaning there is basically no soil to absorb a large rainfall. It all runs off and flash floods can be shockingly quick and high in the Hill Country.

Just looking at video of the area is this the parts of the west where you might be dry but a storm miles away can send a wall of water? I ask because it doesn't look to be well watered country like here. Correct, rainfall could be many miles away and you would never guess a wall of water was coming

Keep praying, please keep praying.
That area is one of the biggest summer 4th of July attractions in Texas. Lots of school camps, campers, tents, and kiddos everywhere now and all along the river. We had a 20% chance of rain yesterday.

Generally here the conditions for flood you can see overhead or have advance warning.

My heart breaks for those poor families of the little girls who perished in that. I don't know what's going on with all of this rain but it needs to calm down, came another flood here last night, it's rained all summer none stop.

It's during times like these that I wished I had SAR/cadaver dogs. Such a terrible situation.

It's during times like these that I wished I had SAR/cadaver dogs. Such a terrible situation. Yes. Unfortunately, sometimes the best thing you can do for those left behind is to give them certainty. But there is still hope to find people alive.

Ok, I knew he had passed but I didn’t know if he had any family in the area, the water must have dispersed some when it moved down river as I never heard about anyone else having trouble, here it usually gets worse as it moves down river.

Aaron, it will be a week before the silt washed off of the canyon walls is secure enough to use cadaver dogs to find the missing. and when they find them. Its going to be a sobering reminder of the great failure of those elected folks within those state districts. every one of them needs to be removed from office and should have to actively assist with recovering those who perished. It won't diminish the fact.

Seen this all over the news, Dont know if any on here are directly affected but god bless. Feel bad for the young ones lost.

Area is getting dumped on again which will further screw up search efforts. Some of the folks found are nearly 20 miles down river from where they were swept away. They found some little girls still in a tree today alive. Thank Jesus! Please, please keep praying.
