Price is sticking in the lower 30s now so it’s up about $10 an oz from past levels and holding pretty steady now. The thing is buying it seems better organized than the selling part is from what I gathered, $2 over spot when you purchase it here. I went to a pawn shop in Rapid City to check the value of some silver coin shooting trophies I had I was not impressed. I felt like I needed a shower when I walked out the door. The place had Jack Danial’s and meth feeling written all over the place more of a Detroit type pawn shop than the Vegas type show vibe. LOL
So what’s the most legit way to deal with selling silver $10 below spot prices is definitely a rip off when the $2 over spot price is the standard I’ve run into but I’m not up on the way it supposed to be done? Not much information out there that I’ve come across.

Keep in mind there is a lot more selling than buying going on right now with prices being up. Lots of retailers are getting long on inventory and prices offered can reflect that. That said most pawn shops suck although 10 dollars back of melt is criminal.
If you don't mind which shop made the low ball offer? I have been to a couple in Rapid but always with intent to purchase
Best advice I could give is to call around, tell them what you have and what they offer. Also you could sell it on marketplace. You'd be amazed how many people buy the stuff. You could sell it on the trapshd here I bet. Put an ask price at the currents days melt and id bet you'd have takers. On line auctions is another place although the commission can get high

It was a place I found on Google maps not far South of the interstate exit 60 I think another shop not far down the same street with the same name.

There is a lot of pawn shops in Rapid if my memory serves me correct. IMHO it's a sketchy town.
The summer I was there I'd go to Dakota Coin. There was a pawn shop to the west of it that sold metals. It is a higher end place and was neat to look at. Lots of clocks for some reason, lots of guns and tactical gear.

First National pawn it looks like looked kind of a dumpy place. I just stopped on the way to go turkey hunting not a lot of time to go to other places, Theres a half dozen places in that area the Air Force base is near by they attract pawn shops.

I have a friend that buys gold and silver. He can, probably, give you a price over the phone. He travels quite a bit for work and gets up to SD on occasion. He is in Elkhorn, NE.

I was interested in what the buying price was I was curious at the time just trying to gauge the going rate but the spot price is east the selling it price is the mystery often. I know little about it some of the coins I have are bullion stamping mint coins, some coin looking (Liberty) type some gun thyme trophy types. Some I believe are Troy ounce some are 1oz weights.

If you come to Soo Foo, there's a place in the Western Mall (not the Empire Mall, big difference) that will pay spot price for your silver. He's done that since I can remember. I sold 6 silver rounds a week or so ago and got $213 and change. Its not a pwn shop. Its always good to ask how much you want to sell. Good luck!!

I have used mine paying off contract help their price for services paid spot price of silver both sides very happy no taxes or capitol gain. I heard bar talk at the VFW Wy. reps talking about a state monetary system using gold and silver backed currency or something like it. Not sure it will be legal but a lot of fed laws states give the single finger salute to the feds. One second your moaning about billionaires not paying taxes and the next you are admitting to .......not paying taxes lol. Jerry they should all be denominated in troy ounces.
