Aero is going bankrupt or something forgot the specifics but there been A LOT of stink about them in the AR community lately, mainly doing what your talking about , taking money not sending products. Sons of Liberty gunworks , and one or two other of the "nicer" companies are having. Similar issues

I wouldn't send the upper back, if they are going bankrupt you may not get refunded
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, & I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve

Aero, produced good parts, have couple of their BCGs, there caught up in, to many making same products at a lower cost. I'd keep the upper also, and build lower from someone else. Have several AR platforms, with different lowers and uppers. I recommend JSE Surplus, Brownells, Anderson, Larue, Have 2 AR 10 30 cals, that I switch out to 1 lower.

I don’t how anyone in the AR biz can be going bankrupt these days.
Aero always had a reputation for making decent stuff too. Because people are figuring out you don't need to pay a premium for one. Psa is killing it, and the average guy that buys one won't tell the difference between a $2000 gun and a $700 one.

There is a huge difference from a $2K to 3K gun and a $700 gun.
Aero did make some good stuff for builds. No doubt, but to the average plinker, it won't matter.

Aero did make some good stuff for builds. The “difference” between four figure ARs and the “cheap” ones has grown narrower and narrower. Accuracy? Psh. I’ve got $400 rifles that will outshoot 99% of the operators using them. (With good ammo). Reliability? Marginal. I’ve seen really expensive rifles that were really unreliable too. Longevity, perhaps. But there again, thousands of dollars for a feature 99% of shooters will never realize.

Idk boss man there a lot of people who would argue when it comes to cheaper AR's .....well argue with me at least, think there scared of you But seriously as someone who build AR's with some of the cheapest parts possible ON PURPOSE..... EGGHHHHH.... There a point of demising returns imo

If I remember correctly the Aero upper will only fit a Aero lower. AR-10 are not Mil spec like AR-15'S. I know Runnings in Moorhead MN has a few Stripped Aero lowers on hand. I believe there 99.00.
My Son in Florida purchased a lower and upper from Aero for a AR-15 build. He got the upper but never received the lower and that was last Feb when we were down there.

I have a PSA in a 556. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. Trigger was junk. Stock was poor.
I haven't ordered any parts from them for about a year, always had satisfactory service. Too bad.
Diminishing returns?
I can go buy a Savage Axis combo for 500 bucks and kill every deer I shoot at. I'm not going to, there is better stuff. I have 2 I've won still sitting in the box . Maybe I'll give them to grandkids some day.
Anyhow, sorry to hear about your experience TBD
