I wish she would come back as well. Frankly, quite disappointed as I thought she was tougher than that.

My first post on here, in 2004, got me hate PMs for at least 5 years after. Who am I kidding? I still get em from time to time, lol.

When I first came on here there was another crazy cat lady (like Smash... and like my mom).... who never got a single day on here without the "cat hate" being here. What in the world else could be expected on a forum of sportsmen? She rolled with the punches and was, and still is, very much liked by those that knew her then.

I followed the post that led Smash to leave and at least 85% of the posts on there were made in a joking manner. I figured Smash would put friendships with people she's made over the past couple years above ribbing over goofy cats. But, I guess she favors cats more than humans.... and that's ok too....

She sometimes made trapping a critter harder than it is but I also know the catch is about how much land you have to trap and the population . If we only have 2 raccoons in a square mile they may take some effort to get but she was a good gal

Your generation is overly offended about anything. Now I wasn't close to Smash, even thought she might be an anti when she first started posting, but I read the last thread she posted. It was simply a good natured ribbing involving many she was close too.

I don't think that's the case. There was always plenty of banter on her threads, but she participated and gave it right back. She even started it plenty of times.

I've had a running PM with Smash for a year or so. Were we besties? No. But, I don't continually conversate with people I don't like.... therefore, I liked her. Still do.

It was my husband that posted the now infamous "cat carrier" pic, a pic that most of us that have been here for awhile have seen numerous times... as it was posted many, many times over the years for "that other crazy cat lady" MsCat. Who, despite her love for cats, knew it was posted in good nature and rolled with it.

This may well be a generational thing. People of wolfie's generation consider to be bullying what people of older generations consider to be cutting it up with friends. Smash and I are the same age... hovering on the border of Gen X and Millennial. All my life growing up I was told I was Gen X. Now they want to tell me I'm a millennial. I think maybe I went the Gen X way and Smash went the millennial way . I was definitely a latchkey kid, perhaps one of the last before gov't realized these kids would grow up to value freedom above all else and therefore must be eliminated via more bureaucracy.

But I digress. Nobody on that post was "bullying". Most were joking... some were not.... but those that weren't were just posting their honest feelings about felis catus. Smash is a grown woman. If the locker-room style joking that goes on here isn't for her... then it isn't. If she wants to leave, because it's not her style, no one faults that. But the only thing she was a victim of was a bunch of good ol boys.... that for the most part at least.... liked her.... that were trying to get her goat...

Smasho is alive and well just had a pleasant conversation with her this morning and for those of yall that thought she was a ANTI she is not !!! There is some people here that has helped her and a few other lady’s on this site hater equipment and gear and begin there trapping passion !!! She will be back but let’s face it sometimes people take things too far !!! And no I’m not in the my feelings got hurt generation I’m 60 years old and my generation has always been led to help people so there ya have it y’all have a blessed day

I'm in my 70's and a Bayman my whole life, we have taken B busting to an art form...EVERYONE gets a turn in the soup...so this place is just another day in the office, lol

She fit in and I believe most, if not all, here liked having her around, maybe she was just having a bad day...we all get those....

She is a fantastic Lady and we also had a new Lady called featherchaser2 join and she’s not on here much do to her college classes and working but we have to show everyone that they are welcome and whatever help they need is available to them along with the tons of knowledge by everyone I’m saying that a little ribbing is cool but some take things to the extreme so let’s just take a good look at ourselves

I dont think its that important that we like everyone or that everyone likes me. Just lighten up and have fun. Pretty sure if i started a thread about me walking a cat id catch grieve to no end, or at least id hope I would. Heck I posted that I bought a creedmoor...... even posted a Pic of my man bun to satisfy all the " bullies" . Poor Vinke sucks at playing the victim..... and im still trying to figure what it's going to take to offend Savell. ... I've been tempted to tease yotetrapper30 but she's so mean it kind of scares me....and wolfie would probably get bored if people like him
