A lot of people dont want to believe because of what that might mean for them.

It's our self nature to want to live our lives our own way, by our own set of rules. Now more than ever, the world tells you to "live your truth" and be whatever you want to be

We see this on here with Savell, Danny, Keith, and others that deny Christ. Living their truth.

I pray you fellas come to Christ. THE truth. "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

An atheist is not a person who does not believe in God, an atheist is a person who denies the existence of God.

Once you understand that concept, you'll understand why they can be so passionate about fighting against something they say doesn't even exist.

I’’m confused again. How is stating what I believe fighting against god? Why do you think it’s ok to state what you believe and no one is allowed to disagree? FWIW Christian’s say belief is a choice? Can you choose to believe something as far fetched as Trump is really Superman in disguise? If you can choose that how do you convince yourself it’s true?

Two different kinds of atheists.....
1. The militant variety, that have hatred in themselves for God (not necessarily the Christian God, just the concept of God). These are the type that love to argue about their atheism. For them, atheism is their religion.

2. The type that just don't think a God exists. They don't have a hatred for God, because as far as they're concerned, God doesn't exist. They don't really even think about the concept of God. These folks don't want to argue with you, they'll let you believe what you want, and they'll believe what they want. It seems like they don't exist, perhaps you've never met one, but that's only because they don't want to talk to you about it.

Do we really know how these men live their lives. I've never heard one of these men say they deny Christ.
If we are a fallower of Christ it is not our place to judge the world. (Judgment is mine says the lord)
We are to rebuke fellow believers who stray from Christ teaching.
We are to be a shining light to the world by example.

Because deep in your heart of hearts, you know God exists. We all do. You can deny Him if you want, and you can defend your position if you want, and defend it as vigorously as you want, or not at all. But if you are honest with yourself, you can come to peace with the truth rather than deny it.

Time to get to the real argument of Christianity.

Can't be a Christian without this.

Me, I truly believe he did. I also believe in the Trinity.

What I think is funny about this subject is why do Christians get so upset about atheist?
Especially the zealots?? Christians believe they can preach anywhere anytime they want. They loose their mind if you ask them not to.
They say they want to be left alone do their thing. Yet they freak out about atheist or gays or someone with different beliefs.
I've never had an atheist or gay or Buddist come to my door. I've never had an atheist or gay or Buddhist approach me in the Walmart or just randomly on a street corner. Had plenty Christians do it ask me have I heard the word of lord.
I don't know any atheist or Buddhist, I do know some gays. Know some gays I consider friends. I've never had atheist or a gay. Ask me if I've considered becoming one.
Is interesting how many people believe them selves to be free thinkers. Yet consider others who don't think and believe the same as them are not. Got have some mental defect..
Lot of people are more "All or nothing thinkers than they know" or can admit.
I've been called a heathen. Been told I'm Agnostic what ever that is?
But then I'm so blinded by TDS what could I know about a ny of that.

There ya go. My point exactly. The All Or Nothing Christians. Seem to want to disregard the first line. Only see the the rest as applying to themselves or others who believe as they do.

I hesitate to join these discussions, it's a no win for everyone...what I do know is I've met many "Christians" of several different denominations that think only their group is the right one and the rest are not, born agains are the worst with that, and have them call Catholics satan worshipers, pagans and worse...do they not realize that ALL christian sects came from them....seems to me there's more hatred among believers than non believers...there's no middle road, my way or your all gonna burn...too many believers are so busy spreading their word and trying to save sinners that they become a PITA, minding ones own business is an option....
