I have fished several of the lakes in that area but never Sand. You're not far from some of my bear baits.

Actually never mind I think you are referring to the Sand Lake west of Marcell, the one east of Marcell doesn't have crappies to my knowledge.

There is a population of crappies in sand east of Marcel. Started showing up a few years ago. FFS makes it easier to find them. Fwiw.
