Am I the only one who doesn't like the hide still on their fries?
When I go into a restaurant and if I'm going to have fries, I always ask the waiter. If they say yes, and most do with a smile like I'll be happy they do, I tell them I don't want any then.
I don't mind some hide on the ends, but that's not common as most seem to be the outside edge and have more skin than tater it seems.
There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

When we make them at home we always peel the skins off before slicing them up.
Eh...wot?

Hide on always! Not only is that the fiber, (granny called it roughage), that's also where all the vitamins/minerals are. I always eat the skins on baked 'Taters too!

For heaven’s sake, Racer Man...you're a trapper...just bring your skinning knife , cleaned up well, and peel the hide off them yourself . The skin is the best part. Just dip it in your favorite sauce. What a hoot it would be to observe you at the table Probably cut myself! lol They're usually soggy with the skin on too, soaks in grease.

Really makes them look when I then order a baked tater instead....and eat it skin and all. Fries = no skin

Skins on here..
And please don't tell me you husk the fresh corn.. Then boil it ...to eat it..
I can see boiling corn for freezing or canning...
I cook my fresh corn on the cob ...in the husks ..on the grill 8-9 minutes on hi...then rotate 180 degrees for anothah 8-9 minutes

Cut them thick and fry them crispy and then put something like "Slap Ya Mama" on them. That's how I make them.

Skin on. They get a better earthy flavor that I like.
My mom would bake a potato and eat the skin and throw away the white flesh. She always said it was the best tasting and healthiest part of the spud
