Legal here now to shoot one out to your dog all year long. Hard to turn loose though most places. To many people want to charge you with trespassing if your dog gets on their deer lease.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

gave us 6 months now in Missouri we can kill them when hunting - definitely not prime Aug or Sept into October and rubbed terrible in February. Closed for a month from Oct15-Nov15 for the almighty deer idol worship season I guess

Last year we sold 100 coon caught from Nov 7 to Nov 18. 6-7 were not put up or sold. Those 100 sold for an $8 average put up with 3 at $2 and the rest at $5, $10 and $15. I put up almost all the largest of those coons. There were 62 4xl and bigger. Color was the big difference between 10 and 15. Lot of what I thought were nice coons in the $5 pile. Probably will be about the same again this year. Not much for a market when they have to be from a very limited area and a limited time span. Prime pelt does not mean prime or even salable coons. Once they start to rub and den up you can have a white pelt with almost worthless fur. in this market.

I don't know but Next gen trapper set a goal of 5,000 coon this season. He got over 3,000 last season. The kid is machine!

That $80 skunk average was a bolt of lightning out of the blue, don't look for lightning to strike in the same place twice. BUT, we could see a $40 average again.
