Y'all eat those big ones?
we get some big striped bass, fluke, and Bluefish but the mediums are better eating...

I have eaten big ones , I got gifted the top flat head and channel from a tournament.

it was a friend of a friend who called him up and said hey Red do you want them , I pulled them from the lake WI but weigh in was in Darlington and after an all nigher he was spent.

Red was out of town so he called me up and said you want them , sure I put a cooler in my drive way for him to drop them off

red and his wife come over for fish fry , Red's dad has child of Depression parents syndrome , that would be the inability to not fillet every legal fish caught. so we just ate up a about 4 pounds of fillets last week. he also can't throw anything out but he is fine giving it away where he knows it will be eaten.

if you want to stop by with a bag of fish I have oil , breading and beer. just let me know your coming.

Great fish

People who don’t like the big fish are the ones who don’t catch the big fish. Clean them well and cut off all of the red stuff and fat. Fry deep and fast. You might just learn to like it.

x2 blues and flatheads made that way are great. Every bit as good as walleye, crappies or bluegills.

That must be the trick...learn to like catfish.

Small cats up to 20 inches are good to eat. But it seems to me that channel cats start getting yuckie tasting after that......j.k
