Better yet, Hang a spinning rack with hooks from the ceiling with lag bolts in a joist. Really looks neat over a kitchen island.

You can go down the rabbit hole with those things, just cause it's "cheap" don't make it a good deal...unless you can use it, lol

Nah then you start gifting the deals to your kids , family , friends. keep finding the cool stuff , learning about it and put a note with the pieces you gift.

a young couple gets married and chances are I am giving them a nice restored skillet.
my cousin go married here in WI but at the time they lived in NYC so they were looking for minimal stuff to have to take back to NYC but she is a real foodie. She was at Blue Apron at the time they started up back when they got married. So I got a paid for flat rate box that I gifted the skillet with so it could just go in the mail and be there a few days after they got back.

I found more than I need at this point. But the hunt for it sure was fun. My Dad is 88 and he was telling me I have found the secret to great cooking. he still uses all of his.

That is all my wife and I have used for the last 29 years. I'm sure it has another 100 years in it.

That depends on what it is. It is like anything some is big $$ and some not. There is a lot more that is not.

If you take care of it, I honestly do not believe you can wear this stuff out. my dad has all of his mothers cast iron cookware. I know for a fact that he is the 5th generation to have this cookware. He rarely uses it anymore because he is 88 years old and out of necessity I had to disconnect their oven and stove. they about burned down the house twice.

I stopped using most of mine cause miss daisy can't lift them anymore, I switched to carbon steel pans at half the weight, seasons like cast...just easier to grab one of them than wrestle with the cast. I do use a dutch oven for stews and sourdough still.

On a daily basis I use a skillet my parents bought used after they were married in 1945.
Hard to realize the thousands of meals it has been used for.

I can definitely see where older people would get to the point where they cant handle them anymore.
