Well it was a learning experience for the 5 year old grand daughter counting to 185 with blueberries to fill a 2 ounce shot glass......the drought has effected the size this year...big time.
no blight on the saskatoons this year and choke cherries will be ready next week with enough pectin to jel

We have a bunch of them, one of the few trees that the elk don’t seem to like much. The bears and raccoons love them though. Some of ours are a foot or more in diameter at the base.

I don't care for them no matter what you do with them. The syrup and jelly is too sweet and still puckers you up. The wine is about as bad as any I have ever drank. I could pick five gallons in my yard and have never picked any.
