Depending on your state law. She might not need to. Here if you post it she has thirty days or something to sign and then the judge says granted.

Best of luck to you 330. Hope it all works out for you.

I really didn’t want to comment on this thread.
I feel for Scott and his wife…
I am in no position to offer any advice.
I have one failed marriage under my belt and I am so glad it did fail.
I don’t wanna point fingers but it was a forced marriage basically. First husband did not show me any interest in any way shape or form. Me being the way I am, looked for outlets and became rebellious and I committed various “sins”. Mostly, I let myself down.
My creator knows me and loves me.
I never ask him for anything because I don’t feel that I have the place.
But I feel the blessings nonetheless.

It does not belong to man who is walking to direct his own step.
That being said, none of this even matters.
Get what you can out of life and try your best not to hurt anyone in the meantime, including yourself

She doesn't have to.

If you go through with it and can't come to agreement the court will decide.

Scott I sure hope she isn't hiding debt from you.

She's probably already got one and trying to buffalo you into not getting one.

Glad you are spending the money to get an attorney. A petition can be issued if one doesn't sign the paper. It is also can lead to a one sided judgement for property. Let your attorney work the issue and she will wish she had signed the papers the first time.

Good Luck1

Yep!!

She can threaten all she wants not signing but it won’t work out in her favor. Also I would suggest that you run a credit check on yourself so see if there’s anything out there you don’t know about. Divorce is expensive because it’s worth it! Never trust a woman!!!!

That reminds me, on the bright side they won't have to worry about splitting up all the venison in the freezer.

I didn't go thru everything, but first person to the bank wins. Unless you have separate bank accounts and only in your name.

When I got divorced the bank called me to tell me she wrote a check for 10500.00 off are account to a credit union 40 miles away. I went to the bank and drew out 11,000.00 cash and had them bounce her check. She didn't want a lawyer and when she seen one he told her to take all the money. As there was nothing I could do about it.

Good point Nessy. Those of us with only one wife and no divorces should stay out of it as we are inexperienced and cannot give sound advice in these trying times.

Anyone that divorces 3 times has a learning disability.

I have nothing clever to put here.
