Some years ago Patrice posted very nice photos of her bucket set traps . Maybe if she sees this, she might post them again, if she has time. They do work very well.

The only thing I found, is to be careful of just setting them on the ground outside. Something kept taking the PB off the bottle , so I set a game cam . It was the resident skunk ! So I set them up off the ground where mice could easily climb to get to the top of the buckets.

Put a little automotive anti freeze in the bucket, they won’t stink ifin you don’t check it regularly. I use bout 1 1/2”

I use the pink RV antifreeze so dont have to worry as much. If dogs or other pet stick their nose where dont belong.

I'm smart, I use real mouse traps and don't fart around with half-baked ideas that work half way, half of the time, if you are lucky.

Plus, you get to run another trap line. Put 50 tethered mousetraps out and you have another line to run that does not matter if you miss a day except that the critters may steal your catch, but that is really not a big deal.

Have a bucket trap in my deer shack caught over 100 mice last year nothing in bucket but 1 dead mouse and over 100 tails
