Attending my 55th High School class reunion this evening. I've been to most of them over the years. Do you guys ever attend yours?

Nope....last one a few years ago was the 50TH, never been and never will...

Nope. I despised everything about high school and couldn't get out of there quick enough.

I've never gone to any of my high school reunions. I graduated in 1988.

Never went to one in almost 50 years. In high school I had 2 jobs and fished in my free time.

Just had our 40th. I didn’t go. I still see the people I want to.

No. There was over a 1000 people in my graduating class. Didn’t know most of them.

I'm 55. For many in my family, on both sides, that would be middle aged. I don't think I am going to livet long enough to make that the case.

Some of my relatives make it into their hundreds. Lots make it into their nineties. On my mom's side two generations of Hoovers had a total of 14 people live over 100, with the oldest dying at 116 and the youngest dying at 101. On my dad's side, my oldest great uncle lived to 101, several, including my grandfather, died at 96.

Graduated in 1978 and have never been to one had several calls from female classmates wanting me to attend but I declined.

I graduated in 1964 class of 600+, didn’t buy a class ring or yearbook, didn’t have many friends, had average grades, never played school sports because I spent most of my free time trapping or hunting. I’ve never had the desire to attend any of my class reunions.

Graduated in 1969 and have gone to every one of our class reunions, 55th was a year ago

We have had a reunion pretty much every 5 years since we graduated in 1964. I think we missed one 5 year anniversary but have more than made up for it with in between years get togethers for the locals who choose to attend. We had a pretty close knit group considering we were the first class from a newly consolidated school. And email has made it a lot easier to keep track of classmates. We selected a reunion committee before graduation and a couple of the girls have done an excellent job keeping it going.

Last year was our 60th and we had 36 classmates attend out of our class of 90. That was pretty good considering only 54 were still living at the time. We have lost a couple more since then.

Looking forward to our next in between get together in September.

My High School disbanded about 5 years after I graduated (1969). I went to the 10 year reunion and skipped the 20. Afterwards people lost interest.

I did my early ones. But haven't been to one in a few years. All the guys I hung out with and played sports with still live in the area.

Graduated in 98. Never been to one of mine or my wife's. I didn't like many of the people back then and have no interest in seeing them now. If I have not seen you in 2 decades or more why do I care to see you now? I was more involved with my wife's school than mine and she feels the same about her's as I do mine.

Graduated in 1971. Had a blast in High School...played sports, dated almost all the cheerleaders, Prom King, the whole works including Class President. Once out, I think we only had one Reunion at about 10 years. Then we had one at 40 and Wonderful Wife and I went. When we walked in I looked at her and asked under my breath "Who are all these old people?" Had a good time and went back for the 45th and 50th. Planning on heading back for the 55th next year.

Sometimes hard to consider those that have already died. Everybody seems to have the same language and spirits as when we were in High School. Some try very hard to show how financially successful they have been, some of us just enjoy shooting the bull and drinking beer without worrying about somebody's parents coming home or the cops showing up.

Never been to a one. From what I hear invitations go out via Facebook. Since I've never been on Facegirl I guess I'm not invited??? Heard about one 5 years ago a month after they had it. Lol

I graduated with a class of 59 people. 20+ that I know of are no longer with us.
I still live in the rural township I graduated in.

I got a long with all my class was well like and was very social. Just not Facegirl social

Been to 4, 50th coming up next year, gonna try to make it. Still keep up with a few classmates, think we had 64 kids.

I've only had the opportunity to attend my 10 year. Graduated in 07. Only reason I went was because my wife encouraged me to go. I'm glad I did, had a great time. But I graduated from a very large class for our school, I believe there were 62 of us. I'm sure it's different for you folks from large schools. We all knew each other, and for the most part we are all pretty decent people that got along well.

I graduated from a high school that I was forced to move to by my father my Jr and Sr years. Pretty much hated it except we had a trapshooting team. I would enjoy going back to a reunion from the school I went to up until my Jr year. I enjoyed going there, only 30 some in our class and we were a pretty decently close group. Would be interesting to see if those who were full of themselves ended up being anything important and to see where everyone else ended up in life. I still keep in touch with a couple of the guys in that class, but I dont think they are big into reunions.

My wife and I graduated in '85, dated since freshman year, and were class couple. We went to our 10th (actually 11th), there was another at 20 or 25, we didn't go. Our 40th is this year, planned for Oct 11. My wife and daughter had already made plans for that weekend to see my in-laws, so we'll miss this one too. I'd actually like to go and see some of the old classmates, my wife has no interest.

Nope no real desire to see any of those people again... forgot about most of em. They'll see me in town occasionally and try and talk and I legitimately lost most of the time.... but if I don't talk to you fairly frequently I will forget.Wife dosen't understand it at all , said I should wanna go and see what everyone's like now... But she was raised on alot of TV so think she just wants to live out that classic sitcom deal out

Never been to one but I still live close and see most everyone that's still above ground. Only had 22 I think in my class.

I went to my 20th a few years ago and I doubt I'll ever go to another one. It was highly boring.

Graduated in '69. I am a loner and not a social person. I have more enjoyment sitting on the back porch watching all the wildlife and hearing the sounds of the evening settling down until dark.

Graduated in 1980, never been to one and never plan to. My wife would like to go to hers and wants me to go. I'm guessing (eye candy) LOL. I told her I'm not going she can if she wants to. Have not talked to any of them for 40 years so why now.

Never. We did get together at funerals for awhile. Out of a small class of around 25 or so we have already lost five of the guys. Class of 88. At the last funeral a couple of years ago there was only one other classmate besides me. Guess people quit caring.

I have been to 4 of ours. Our school was and is very small so they do a combined reunion with specific years being highlighted. My 60th is next fall, I plan to go.

Wife and I were in the same year. Graduated in ‘88. We have been to several, last one was a couple years ago. Was on the river bank. Great time, but shouldn’t have waited that long to see girls and guys in their 50’s in swim suits.

Some still took care of themselves, others not so much.

We were a small class and many I see and talk to almost daily.

Never been to one. I'd get an invite in the mail quite often until about 5 years ago. I guess they quit sending them out or maybe they aren't having one every year anymore. I never understood why they did anyways. Had a class of about 30, so a small class. Graduated in 1989 and as far as I know we lost our first guy in June of this year.

I wasn't a popular guy, not a jock and not a social person so I'm fine never going to one. I haven't kept in contact with anyone from my class since I graduated. I'd run into a couple of the guys I hung around with in school the first couple of years after graduating but since then nothing.
I'm a loner by nature anyway. I also look at class reunions as a brag thing for some of them. I'm sure there would be the same clique crap now as there was in school. Who the heck needs that.

Been to the 50th and 55 reunion. Graduated in 1967. Never liked school. The only classes I enjoyed were taught on the rivers, lakes, and streams before and after school. Had a graduating class of 500 or so kids. My friends and I were not involved in any high-school sports as we were always hunting, fishing, or trapping. Don't think I will go to anymore. I still am good friends with a couple old school buddies and we go fishing every year together but each year it's getting harder to do.

Okay, reporting back. 55th Class reunion in the books, it was very good. Lot of memories shared. Lots of talk about new knees and hips. One classmate was quit pleased with the BM he'd had this morning. I'm definately goning to my 60th, God willing.

Both were totally by accident, being at the same place at the same time.

Ain't never been interested, I was glad to see the last of it in 87. The few that mattered I saw at mama's funeral and might see one or two when I go visit dad.

Next month will be our next reunion, graduated in 1963 so its been 62 years, about 7 years ago we started having them every year. I think they figure the next one could be the last one, I've been to about half of them. We only had 52 in our class. Some nights when I can't sleep I try to think of everyone that was in my class. Sometimes I nail it, most times I come up one or two short.

I graduated in 1964 only nineteen of us four are already gone my wife will have her 60 this Saturday night her friend that introduce us is coming in from NC.to stay with us a few days.

Graduated in 85 and have never went to one. See a few folks that I graduated with around town occasionally and still have my best friend since kindergarten living close by. I don't do any social media so don't get any invites. Got along with most of my classmates throughout school and enjoyed it for the most part just never went to a reunion.

Graduated in '74 and went right to work for the local telephone company where I spent the next 40 years. Only reunion I went to was the 20th and that was enough for me!

Class of 1961. I've gone to a few. Good to see the girls again although they sure have changed. A few of the boys I had scores to settle from high school years. This was so satisfying to see them squirm.

Class of '75 here. Went to my 20th back in Chester Co, PA from TX because it was close to Thanksgiving and we traveled back to see family anyway.
My 50th is next month and I won't be making that trip this time around as all family there is gone. I do speak to an old (girl)friend from 9th grade there pretty regularly though. She has bugged me to attend and see some old faces. I'm sure I'd be shocked at how old everyone looks while I have stayed so young. lol

Just came back last night from my 50th. Will skip the 100th.

Never been to one , graduated in 71, school was a painful part of my life, had no friends all thru school, never was invited to anything, tried to be friends with others never happened, no party's nothing, went to the football games a few times but got knocked around so stopped them, basketball, got rolled down the bleachers, so stopped that !

Was no reason to go never dated any girl that I even was interested in, no replies !

Graduated no signatures in my year books, the whole thing was just miserable !!

Glad I even made it to graduation, had a very difficult time keeping my self in school !

Out of my graduation class one guy is now a 2 star general in the army. Never knew him very well , but very seriously impressed at what he has become.

On the other side of the coin , had a classmate who killed another classmate a couple of years after graduation.

I figure it was my wearing of clothes and shoes, came from a family with parents alcoholics never had money only for their drinking, barely had food once in a while, always wore clothes like hand me downs, guess the kids just like to bully the less than them kids, was back in the day's when you got slapped around if you di not slap back you just got it more ! School rules were not as they are now, and programs all over for all kinds of stuff, you either toughed it out or you never went back, even with all that torment it was better to be at school than listen to the parents argue and fight over their lives !! I guess I just was a dumb looking kid who would never amount to anything !

I never tried to get it, never smart mouthed any one, like I can now, found ways to walk around the bullies but they seemed bent on making my life miserable, used to walk back and forth to school cause on the bus I was cornered al the time !

Went to several schools as well because my parents were always in debt up the ying yang all the time

One reason I'm so against legalizing drugs, as I seen what it can do to families and people in general that think they have a grip on it !
Swore my family would never be like that and got involved in a job that led to an apprenticeship on welding and steel detailing and it took 4 years to get thru it but it was well worth it 45 years of it and the pay just kept going up, great wife, family and they don't still know the half of my life I won't share because its rough on them, not me, but hard for them !!

I was our class president and have set up all of our reunions with help from a few of our ladies. This year will be our 64th. We have one every year now.

I was involved in a lot of school activities such as sports, plays, student council, etc. Looking back, it was some of the best times of my life. I think school is what you make of it. I can't say there wasn't one person in my class that I didn't like of the ones I knew. I found it really interesting to hear what everyone was up to as the years went by.

Trappers tend to be loners, but way too many of you seem traumatized by high school. If it was that bad... I can understand why some of you stay away. My class does something every five years (I graduated in 1981). I missed the last two because of a surgery and hospital bills and the next because I had field work that needed to be done. Otherwise, I'd been at those too. One mentioned that high school is what you make of it, that goes with life as well. My graduating class had 64 (If memory serves). We've lost several classmates over the years as well.
I'm always interested in what my classmates have going on in their lives. Jobs, spouses, children and grandchildren and how life is in general. Not to keep score but to celebrate everyone's individual victories. I did football, FFA and track. I didn't do basketball because they practiced both before and after school. That meant that I couldn't trap.
I especially like to reconnect one on one.
On our twenty fifth, one classmate brought his old boat convertible to the homecoming parade. Off the cuff, we got last minute approval to participate in the homecoming parade lineup. With a sharpie and a scrap piece of cardboard, we scribbled Class of 81 and taped it to one of the car doors. Dang, we had fun waving to people and acted like we were seventeen again. The fellow with the convertible offered to get a fundraiser going to help with my hospital bills when I missed our 35th reunion. We may not talk for long periods, but he was willing to help.
I'm sorry for those that don't want anything to do with their classmates. It's an awkward time in life that all of us go through.

We had our 50th about a month ago. I haven't been to any of them. My cousin was in the same class, she sent me some pictures of it. All of them look old out of 130 47 are dead. I think I still look pretty good But you can't believe my wife
