my oldest son went to check a trap set for groundhog at the barn. Got a glimpse of something taking off. Turned out to be a possum that took an escape route with an 8" rbg. Was hip caught and unhappy.

Anyone else get to see something running and end up in your trap. I don't think i have ever got to see anything get snapped. I thought it was neat.

I had a beaver hit a 330 as I was placing it in a run at a lodge once. Scared the crap out of me, and all I could do was hold on as I didn't have it secured above the ice yet. Now I secure them before put them in the run.

It's pretty common with weasels when you have one on your bobcat bait. Set a weasel box down where you saw him, step back a few feet and watch him walk right in.

A rat in the coop I’d set 110s after dark behind the 15 hole nesting box stand it’s avoided it for days until I popped at it with .22 birdshot then it panicked and snap the 110 went.

About 3 months ago...doing a nusinence beaver job...had a big beaver slapping his tail

At me ..while I was setting my first 330.

He kept coming closer and slapping his tail.

I made my second set...while keeping an eye on this critter.

Said ...I got something for you Bub....and put that stink stick with some

Backbreaker lure on it...got out of the water...hid behind a tree about 20 yards away..

And in all my beaver trapping years...nevah saw one swim right into a 330 ..

Until that day !!

Two beavers and a lot of muskrats. Back 45-50 years ago, we had a lot of rats. Usually catch 50-60 the first night of season. When you were setting up 110s on bank holes, you’d usually catch one that swam out after you walked on the bank.

Watched a coyote hit my cable restraint at a dead run. Amazed me he didn't break his neck when his rear legs passed his head.

Was setting lodge entrances with 330’s on deep water stands. As I was setting my third trap the second trap stand started going nuts - beaver had swam through. Once he was done I pulled him out and reset the trap. As I was making my fourth set I heard the clink of a trap going off underwater. That same 330 I caught the beaver in had caught a muskrat.

I also opened my shed and flushed a mouse into a trap on Friday. He’s in the freezer waiting for a dirt hole this fall.

Went to check with my 2 boys. First set was a high bank trail with a 110. It held a buck mink! I grabbed the trap and showed the kids. I said id never seen one with foam on the mouth. At that time the mink hissed and opened its mouth. Must have been caught 1 min before.

Released a Bobcat from a MB550 just to watch it run out of the field and into a trail that I had a cable restraint in. Harder to release from the cable.
