Worked with a guy that fed them year round. Had some really nice bucks coming to the feed. One deer he had fed turned into a extremely nice 11 point that he his eye on. He decided to give it one more year since he figured the deer to be about 4 years old. Deer made it through gun deer season as he saw him the final day of season on the feed that evening. Local outlaw shot him about a week later, claimed he shot him during the final gun deer season.

gonna be too hot to hunt deer that early. I have two friends dead set on doing it though. They set up a blind and sighted-in their crossbows today.

I told them they better have a good plan to get the meat cooled down quick BEFORE thy have a deer on the ground.

Bag ice should do it until I can get it in the walk-in. I’m more worried about the number of ticks that will be on it. lol

Amazing how long a couple bags of ice stuffed inside them lasts!

We use to do that when we hunted West Virginia and it was a tad warm

You have a walk-in cooler? my buddy and I were just talking about building one today. The farmer behind me has one that he dismantled during a commercial remodel he did years ago. I don’t think the condensing unit comes with it though.

I’ve got crop damage permits so, could have started last Saturday on does.

Walk in coolers are great. We are thinking of building one for also cold storage of our root vegetables.

Should have saved my money on the feed and purchased a guided hunt in Kansas. lol
