Had a phone call about some beavers cutting some trees. The kids elected to take the job provided I'd help them out. Got a big female this morning. Happy kids and a happy landowner today.

Thank you all. We sure have fun with stuff like this. Watching the boys arguing about who gets to haul the beaver to the pickup is enjoyable. And the fact that the wife enjoys coming with is the icing on the cake.

Those 2 older boys look to be just the right age that they'll be ready to teach their sister and little brother how to trap when the time comes. Imagine the trouble the 4 of them can get into when the oldest is 12-14....

The oldest two are constantly at each other's throats, but they are both exceptionally good big brothers to the younger two. They already spend a lot of time trying to teach the little ones how do stuff. I worry that when George gets his driver's license, all four of them will find some good trouble to get into.

We are trying awful hard to. They don't know how to play video games and they act a little awkward in town, but they're respectful and if they have a trap or a .22 they aren't going to ever starve to death.

They must have learned to trap and shoot from their Mother then.

You're partly right 160. She teaches them how to do something, then next time I teach them the proper way to do it. She is a pretty fair game killer though.

If she reads that, you may find yourself bunking in the trap shed for a few nights.
